Our good friend and an avid WPBeginner reader, Konstantin Kovshenin, has released his first free theme for WordPress called Minimal Georgia. Minimal Georgia is a sweet multi-color theme filled with Georgia goodness for blogging. While the theme maybe simple, it comes with all the features that a good theme requires, here are some of its features:
- Fixed-width
- Two columns
- Post formats
- Custom colors and menus
- Ready for translation
- Few theme options (including custom CSS) and a neat Color Picker widget.
The theme is written in an OOP fashion, uses the WordPress Settings API and is very well documented, which not only makes it good for blogging, but also perfect for learning. If you are a WordPress intermediate user who really wants to learn how WordPress themes work, this theme would be a perfect one to dig in and start tweaking.

The theme is licensed under GPL, available for a demo and free download at the WordPress Free Themes Directory. Don’t forget to rate it if you own a WordPress.org account, if you don’t have a WordPress.org account, then get one!
Translators and collaborators are welcome to join the Minimal Georgia GitHub Project.

Nice clean theme.
Only reason I use a paid theme is because I get technical support and believe me… I need technical support.
Thanks for sharing boys.
BTW – any chance of seeing any of you guys or perhaps a name?
I’ve visited this site for some time now and don’t really feel that I’ve got to know anyone.
Just a thought.
Just take a look at the about page
Silly me.
I know who you are now.
Thanks
I will try this theme. Thanks for sharing
