I’m a reasonably advanced user (20+ WordPress installs, a dozen addon domains and a couple of APIs), so when I need support, it’s usually for something a little more challenging that a Google search didn’t solve!! Every time I contact SiteGround support by chat, I get someone who understands the issue quickly and either points me in the right direction or offers to solve the issue for me.

    The hosting is always solid (I use a couple of monitors to check uptime), and package features are comparable or better than others. Since the support has been so great, switching from my old provider of 10+ years was a pretty easy decision. It’s been over a year, and I’m now switching my friends over as well.

    Here’s hoping the service stays this good (and so well priced) so I don’t need to change for another 10 years! Well done SiteGround, keep it up

Have recently switched from WPEngine as SiteGround outperform them not just on price, but also on site speed and performance, hosting features and flexibility (i.e. adding non-WordPress software which WPEngine doesn’t allow) and great support.   5. Excellent service for hosting and domain ,because when ever have the issue ,it support immediately and good response.

  6. Their email is flaky at best, and at times terrible. I’ve had no end of trouble, not least that my sites keep going down because of too many open IMAP connections. If you need more than one email address, or more than one client (eg a phone, a desktop and a laptop) you will quickly have too many IMAP requests. They offer technical solutions, none of which work and they refuse to take any responsibility. They fob you off. So your email doesn’t work and your sites are down.

    They recommended I switch from a £6 a month scheme to one that costs £36 in order to get decent email. That’s bait and switch if you ask me. they don’t deserve all these glowing reports. I wonder how they got here…

    • Unfortunately, I have to agree. The support team is quick to respond, but I haven’t had one decent, helpful reply. E.g. when all my ALL my page breaks disappeared, they where quick to reply, but ended up recommending that I seek a professional word press expert. So I did, and the problem was resolved in a matter of minutes, but at a high cost. And this is annoying considering that I did not purchase the cheapest hosting solution. It’s disappointing.

    However, they REALLY shine in customer service. These guys will literally bend over backward to help you solve your problem, and they aren’t like GoDaddy or 1&1 and assume it’s all your fault right off the bat.

    They also aren’t money driven! They care more about YOUR online presence than if they get paid on time or not. A company that values the customer more than profits shows what kind of culture they have. (per the conversation I JUST had with customer service)

  20. Well just out of the gate with these guys after years hosting with other providers. So far, very good, very impressed. Customer service setup is outstanding. Looking to port a couple of my other sites over.

  21. I recently moved a bunch of site from BlueHost to Siteground.

    SG was so responsive and willing to help me sign up. Really impressive.

    Then, it came to customer support after they had me hooked. Not impressive.

    The live chat feature now only stays connected for about a minute now, then disconnects. Chats are left hanging. Upon reconnecting a new rep answers and may or may not be able to connect to the original message. Very annoying!

    Phone support is not much better. Amazingly, the calls are lost with SG. Don’t have that issue with anyone else in the world.

    I would love Siteground if they only would provide the same pre-sale service to post-sale support. Until then, I have to tell it like is!

  27. The best, most human, most generally technically advanced help i have ever seen, in over 15 years of doing websites on many different hosting companies. Better than godaddy, hostgator, greatdanehosting, bluehost, dreamhost, etc. i’ve had them all. If they do not solve the problem, well i haven’t seen it yet.

  30. Impressive to get such a quick chat support response at 9.00 am UK time. The operative did a quick check on our broken site, reported the issue and escalated it to the advanced tech team. By 9.05 we felt we were in good hands.

  33. SiteGround is honestly the best company I’ve worked with in the past 3 years. GoDaddy has horrible customer service, their hosting accounts are slow & crash, Bluehost is expensive & has cancellation policies built in behind the scenes if you are unhappy with their services. SiteGround by far is the best

  35. SiteGround offers some of the most robust email solutions available at an affordable price level. We use the GoGeek offering at our firm and their attention to detail in both support and service is unmatched. If you enjoy having all the options and features at your fingertips but also like to have experienced support engineers to guide you from time to time then this is the hosting partner for you. Their library of tutorials are very thorough and easy to understand when you need it.

  36. NOT A FAN! Siteground puts a limit on execution requests and then takes your site offline without a proper warning. Hurt our business bad. It was very strange that we started getting hit by a lot of bots that were using up our execution requests, and then Siteground comes in and says we should either do something to limit the requests or upgrade to a more expensive plan that allows more execution requests. Hmmmmm. Very interesting. Provided NO help whatsoever on reducing the execution requests other than directing us to an article to read.

    • Execution Requests… what could you mean by that? Could you mean comment spam? Or an abundance of malicious traffic to your site? I’m thinking yes.

      If so, that’s actually a +1 in favor of SiteGround to take your site offline immediately. Your site behaving that way puts the entire shared server at risk, or your server (depending on your plan). By taking your site offline, potentially tens of thousands of other businesses were saved from your fate.

      It is up to you to make sure your website meets certain minimum standards in order to be hosted by anyone, and has the proper security, keep your CMS and extensions/plugins up to date to make sure that doesn’t happen.

      If you read their terms and conditions you wouldn’t have anything to complain about.
