I’ve used SiteGround for more than a decade now, and it continues to impress me with its performance, reliability, and support. I’ve tested just about every major web host out there, but SiteGround still holds a top spot on my list.
We actually host WPBeginner and several of our partner sites on SiteGround’s cloud platform. This gives us a clear, behind-the-scenes look at how their servers perform under real traffic conditions.
If you’re looking for premium hosting that delivers fast speeds, strong security, and helpful customer service, then SiteGround is a solid option. Still, there are some trade-offs, especially when it comes to pricing and storage limits.
In this updated review, I’ll share my personal experience with SiteGround, including performance test results, support interactions, and screenshots of the tools you’ll be using. By the end, you’ll know whether SiteGround is a good fit for your website.
My Verdict on SiteGround
I’ve tested SiteGround many times and still recommend it as one of the best options for WordPress users who want fast speeds, great support, and reliable uptime.
It’s not the cheapest option, and you won’t get a free domain. But it stands out for its performance, Google Cloud infrastructure, and built-in tools like SG Optimizer that actually make a difference.
We also host WPBeginner and several of our partner sites on SiteGround, so I’ve seen firsthand how well it handles real traffic and day-to-day use.

My Hosting Evaluation Criteria
Based on user feedback on WPBeginner and our own experiences, we have learned what matters the most when choosing a hosting provider.
When evaluating a hosting provider, I focus on the following areas.
- Ease of Use: I tested their custom Site Tools dashboard and setup flow to see how beginner-friendly it is.
- Speed and Reliability: I ran GTmetrix speed tests and monitored uptime and response times across multiple locations.
- Stress Testing: Using K6, I simulated 50 concurrent users to see how SiteGround performs under load.
- Support Experience: I chatted with SiteGround support and used their AI assistant to resolve common hosting questions.
- Pricing and Plan Value: I reviewed features across all shared plans to see what you’re actually getting for your money.
How Did I Test SiteGround?
To give you an honest SiteGround review, I used the same process we follow for every hosting provider on WPBeginner.
Here’s exactly what I did:
Live WordPress Site Setup: I signed up for the GrowBig plan and installed WordPress using SiteGround’s 1-click setup. I added demo content, plugins, and media to simulate a real website.
Speed Testing with GTmetrix: I used GTmetrix to run multiple page speed tests from different locations to measure load time and Core Web Vitals.
Stress Testing with K6: I simulated 50 virtual users accessing the site at once to test how well SiteGround’s servers handle sudden traffic spikes.
Response Time Monitoring: I used PageSpeedPlus to test server response times from key regions, including the US, Europe, and Asia.
Uptime Monitoring: I enabled real-time uptime tracking to check for any downtime or slowdowns during the test period.
Support Interactions: I contacted support through live chat and tested their ChatGPT-powered assistant for helpfulness and accuracy.
This process gives a full picture of what you can expect from SiteGround as a real customer.
Why You Can Trust WPBeginner 🧡
Why You Can Trust WPBeginner
I’ve been reviewing WordPress hosts for over a decade and rely on real test data, not just specs or affiliate commissions.
We also use SiteGround to host WPBeginner and several of our partner websites, which means we have deep, first-hand experience with how it performs at scale.
You can read more about our testing standards and editorial process here.
Bottom line: SiteGround combines speed, uptime, and reliable support in one package. If you’re looking for premium hosting with a simple setup, it’s worth the price.

About SiteGround
SiteGround has been around since 2004 and has built a solid reputation in the hosting space. It’s now one of the most trusted hosting companies for WordPress users.
The company operates in several countries, including the United States, the UK, Spain, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. Its data centers are spread across three continents, making it easy to host your site close to your audience.
Today, SiteGround hosts more than 3 million domains and has a team of over 500 people. It’s a well-established company with deep experience in hosting and support.

SiteGround Pros and Cons
SiteGround is a high-performing host that we’ve used on several of our own sites, including WPBeginner. But like any provider, it comes with trade-offs you should know about before you sign up.
Pros 👍
- Excellent performance and speed, even under load
- Google Cloud infrastructure and fast SSD storage
- Daily backups and built-in caching with all plans
- Custom Site Tools dashboard is fast and easy to use
- The support team is knowledgeable and responsive
- Free site migration with the WP Migrator plugin
Cons 👎
- Higher renewal rates after the first term
- No free domain with any hosting plan
- Storage is limited compared to some competitors
- Staging tools and premium features start with GrowBig
If you’re focused on performance, support, and peace of mind, SiteGround still offers a solid return on investment, especially for business and agency sites.
SiteGround Performance Tests
While price often plays a significant role when choosing a web host, you cannot compromise on performance.
This is why I decided to run my tests to thoroughly review SiteGround’s performance.
SiteGround Speed Test Results
I ran SiteGround’s performance tests using GTmetrix on a live WordPress demo site. The results were impressive right out of the box.
The fully loaded time was just 592 milliseconds. The Largest Contentful Paint came in at 497ms, and the First Contentful Paint happened in just 336ms. That’s blazing fast, even before enabling extra optimization tools.
These results put SiteGround in the top tier of shared hosting providers when it comes to raw speed. It’s quick enough for serious websites and small businesses alike.

SiteGround Stress Test Results
I used the K6 tool to simulate up to 50 visitors accessing the site at once to see how SiteGround’s servers would hold up under pressure.
During the stress test, SiteGround handled the traffic smoothly. Response times remained stable even as the number of virtual users increased. There were no timeouts or spikes, which means the hosting infrastructure is well-optimized for bursts of traffic.
This test confirms that SiteGround is a strong choice if your website needs to handle traffic surges, such as product launches or viral blog posts.

SiteGround Uptime Test Results
Uptime is where SiteGround really shines. I enabled continuous monitoring during the review period, and SiteGround delivered 100% uptime.
Most hosting companies promise 99.9% uptime, which allows for nearly 9 hours of downtime per year. SiteGround’s performance went above that, with zero outages recorded during testing.
If you run a site that can’t afford to go offline, like a business site or online store, SiteGround is a dependable choice.

SiteGround Response Time Test Results
I used PageSpeedPlus to test server response times from six different regions to measure global performance. SiteGround showed consistently strong performance across the board.
In Oregon, the site fully loaded in just 1 second with a render time of 46ms. Even distant regions like Tokyo and Canada Central stayed within acceptable performance limits, though naturally a bit slower due to distance from the origin server.
This confirms that SiteGround’s global infrastructure, including data centers on four continents, can deliver fast speeds no matter where your visitors come from.

SiteGround Hosting Plans and Features
SiteGround doesn’t just offer one-size-fits-all hosting. Whether you’re launching a blog, managing client sites, or growing an eCommerce store, there’s a plan that fits. I’ve tested all three shared plans and even hosted some of my client projects on their cloud servers — the difference in performance and control is noticeable.
All plans include free SSL, email hosting, daily backups, a custom control panel, staging tools, and a built-in caching system. Even the entry-level plan offers more than most basic shared hosts.
Here’s a quick overview of what SiteGround offers:
- Shared Hosting: Ideal for beginners, bloggers, or anyone launching a small site. Includes everything needed to run a WordPress website.
- Managed WordPress Hosting: Built on the same shared infrastructure but optimized specifically for WordPress performance and security.
- WooCommerce Hosting: Aimed at online stores, with extra tools and caching settings tailored for WooCommerce.
- Cloud Hosting: For growing businesses and high-traffic sites. More scalable and customizable than shared plans, with dedicated resources and flexible upgrades.
At WPBeginner, we use SiteGround’s enterprise infrastructure to host several of our partner sites. It gives us the speed and reliability we need at scale, with a technical team that’s been rock-solid whenever we needed help. Read our case study explaining why we switched to SiteGround.
SiteGround Shared Hosting Plans (Detailed Breakdown)
If you’re starting a new site or blog, SiteGround’s shared hosting is where I’d begin. All three tiers offer solid value, but the differences matter depending on how many sites you run and whether you need staging or priority support.
- Startup Plan: Best for beginners or single-site users. You get 10 GB SSD storage, free SSL, CDN, email, backups, and all essential features. It supports around 10,000 monthly visits.
- GrowBig Plan: This is the plan I recommend most. It supports unlimited sites, includes 20 GB storage, and unlocks key features like staging, on-demand backups, and SiteGround’s Ultrafast PHP. Good for sites up to 100,000 visits per month.
- GoGeek Plan: Designed for developers or businesses managing multiple client sites. Includes 40 GB storage, white-label tools, Git integration, more server resources, and priority support. It can handle up to 400,000 monthly visits.
No matter which plan you choose, SiteGround makes it easy to scale up later. You’re never locked in, and everything’s built with WordPress in mind.

SiteGround Pricing (What You Get for the Money)
SiteGround is often seen as a premium host, and for good reason. It’s not the cheapest option, but it packs in more tools, support, and speed features than most shared hosts. I’ve personally paid for GrowBig and GoGeek plans in different client projects, and they’ve always delivered consistent value.
They frequently run introductory deals, so you can start as low as $2.99/month. But keep in mind: renewal prices jump significantly after the first term. If you want the best value, go for a longer term upfront.
Plan | Startup | GrowBig | GoGeek |
---|---|---|---|
Intro Price | $2.99/mo | $4.99/mo | $7.99/mo |
Websites | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Storage | 10 GB | 20 GB | 40 GB |
Traffic | ~10,000 visits | ~100,000 visits | ~400,000 visits |
Free Domain | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
Daily Backups | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
Staging | ❌ | ✅ | ✅ |
Priority Support | ❌ | ❌ | ✅ |
Free CDN | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
Built-in Caching | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
Each plan includes free SSL, a custom control panel (Site Tools), unlimited bandwidth, and helpful WordPress plugins like SG Optimizer. You also get access to their new email marketing tool, which is surprisingly decent for basic campaigns.
How Good Is SiteGround Support?
SiteGround has always had a reputation for responsive and helpful support. I’ve personally reached out to them multiple times while managing client sites and my own test environments. In nearly every case, I was connected to someone knowledgeable within minutes.
They offer 24/7 live chat, ticket support, and phone support. You’ll also find a robust knowledge base and an AI-powered support assistant inside your Site Tools dashboard. The chatbot is trained on real customer questions and can resolve many issues without human involvement.

One of my favorite things is how deeply integrated the support options are. If you’re inside the Site Tools dashboard, you can launch help without ever opening a new tab. It makes troubleshooting a lot faster.
They also publish hundreds of well-organized tutorials and video walkthroughs, which is ideal if you like solving things on your own. We’ve used their documentation often when training writers and new team members working on WordPress setups.

Overall, SiteGround support is reliable and fast. But if you’re used to support via email, note that email-based help is not offered; you’ll need to go through chat or ticketing. Still, for most users, that’s not a dealbreaker.
SiteGround Technology Stack
SiteGround isn’t just another hosting company riding on marketing. They’ve built a high-performance platform that blends Google Cloud infrastructure with a set of in-house technologies designed for serious speed and reliability.
We’ve hosted WPBeginner and several partner sites on SiteGround and consistently benefited from their fast stack, caching layers, and resource efficiency. Here’s a breakdown of what powers it all behind the scenes.
- Google Cloud Infrastructure: SiteGround runs on the Google Cloud network with distributed SSD storage. This ensures fast connections, excellent redundancy, and top-tier availability.
- Ultrafast PHP: Their custom ultrafast PHP implementation reduces the time to first byte and improves memory efficiency. It’s one of the reasons our test sites loaded 30% faster compared to standard PHP setups.
- Custom MySQL Configuration: Their setup handles large volumes of parallel queries and minimizes slowdowns from complex database requests. That’s critical for high-traffic WordPress sites.
- SuperCacher: SiteGround’s three-layer caching system includes static cache, dynamic cache, and Memcached. Dynamic caching is turned on by default, and it made a noticeable difference during our stress testing.
- Blazing Fast CDN: Their in-house CDN is easy to set up, and it caches content on multiple edge servers to serve users from the nearest location. That helps reduce load times globally.
- Brotli Compression: Brotli, developed by Google, produces smaller file sizes than gzip. It’s already deployed across all SiteGround servers and helped reduce page weight in our GTmetrix tests.
- Quick Tech Adoption: SiteGround regularly rolls out support for the latest stable versions of PHP and HTTP protocols and was among the first to deploy TLS 1.3 and OCSP stapling.
- SG Optimizer Plugin: For WordPress users, SiteGround provides a powerful performance plugin that gives you fine-grained control over caching, image optimization, lazy loading, and more.

When you combine all of these, it’s clear SiteGround isn’t relying on just one feature to stay competitive. They’ve built a lean, scalable tech stack that works well whether you’re hosting a basic blog or a busy WooCommerce site.
SiteGround Security Features
I’ve always appreciated how seriously SiteGround takes security. They don’t just offer the basics — they’ve built a multi-layered system that protects both their servers and your individual site.
Every SiteGround plan comes with free SSL, daily backups, and a web application firewall. But what makes them stand out is how proactive they are with emerging threats.
- Real-time server monitoring: Their systems scan for problems every 0.5 seconds, which helps them catch issues before they escalate.
- In-house firewall rules: Their team adds hundreds of new rules each year to defend against the latest WordPress-specific vulnerabilities.
- AI anti-bot protection: Their AI blocks millions of brute-force attempts, spam bots, and other threats before they reach your site.
- SiteGround Security plugin: This free WordPress plugin adds login protection, malware scanning, and advanced security settings for non-tech users.
- Native CDN with DDoS protection: When you enable their CDN, your content is distributed globally, masking your server’s origin IP and filtering out suspicious traffic.
- Daily off-site backups: Your website is backed up every 24 hours, and those backups are stored across multiple data centers for extra safety.
- Monthly security reports: SiteGround sends a detailed breakdown of your site’s security score with actionable recommendations for improving weak areas.

There is one downside worth mentioning. SiteGround charges for domain privacy. It’s $12 for the first year and $24/year after that.
Overall, SiteGround offers one of the most complete security packages in the shared hosting space without requiring you to configure everything manually.
Conclusion: Is SiteGround the Right Choice for You?

If you want a fast and reliable web hosting provider with excellent customer support, SiteGround is perfect for you. They have hosting plans for every budget, and each plan offers a great set of features.
All their shared hosting plans include SSD storage, site tools, easy setup of Let’s Encrypt free SSL and Cloudflare CDN service, 1-click WordPress installer, and free migration.
Built-in security features protect your website against malware, and you can add additional protection by turning on Cloudflare CDN functionality.

Frequently Asked Questions About SiteGround Hosting
In this detailed SiteGround review, we looked at all aspects of their hosting services. The following are some of the most frequently asked questions about SiteGround by our users.
1. Where are SiteGround servers located?
SiteGround servers are located in the United States, Europe, and Singapore. You can choose the server location when signing up.
2. Why choose SiteGround for WordPress hosting?
SiteGround offers a highly optimized WordPress hosting platform. Each plan includes its own in-house security features and WordPress tweaks that boost your WordPress site speed and performance.
You can easily set up a WordPress website with their 1-click WordPress installation. You can also move existing WordPress websites using the SiteGround Migrator plugin.
3. Does SiteGround support WooCommerce?
SiteGround specializes in WordPress and WooCommerce hosting. If you are building a WooCommerce store, then you can rely on SiteGround’s optimizations for consistent performance and reliability.
They are one of the top WooCommerce hosting providers and make it super easy to start an online store without any special technical skills.
4. Does SiteGround offer a website builder?
No, SiteGround does not offer its own site builder. That’s because they want users to have the option to pick the best website builder for their needs.
This is why they allow you to easily install WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, Weebly, and many other site builder platforms.
On the SiteGround platform, you can also create unlimited web pages without any restrictions.
5. Does SiteGround offer cPanel hosting?
No, SiteGround no longer offers cPanel hosting. Once cPanel raised its licensing fees, SiteGround decided to remove cPanel hosting and instead built a far superior web hosting control panel for both beginners and advanced users. This allows them to offer managed WordPress hosting-like features without the high costs.
6. Is SiteGround better than Bluehost?
SiteGround and Bluehost used to offer the same features, but with recent innovations, SiteGround has significantly improved its hosting technology.
SiteGround is better than Bluehost in terms of overall performance, technology infrastructure, and support quality. However, with all this innovation, SiteGround pricing is significantly higher.
So, when it comes to pricing, Bluehost is better than SiteGround because not only is it cheaper, but it also offers a free domain name with each account.
For more details, see our honest comparison of SiteGround vs. Bluehost vs. WP Engine.
7. How does SiteGround compare with other hosting providers?
Readers often ask us how SiteGround compares with GoDaddy, Hostinger, HostGator, GreenGeeks, DreamHost, A2 Hosting, and other web hosting services.
They all used to provide similar features and technology, but over the last year, SiteGround has really stepped up its innovation.
With all the managed WordPress hosting features, Google Cloud infrastructure, and custom performance optimization, SiteGround is now in a class of its own with its premium hosting.
8. Does SiteGround offer a free domain name?
No, SiteGround does not offer a free domain name. You can buy a domain name from another registrar and point it to your SiteGround account or buy one from SiteGround during signup at an additional cost.
9. Can I cancel my SiteGround account and get a refund?
SiteGround offers a 30-day money-back guarantee with all its shared plans. During this period, you can try out its services. You are eligible for a refund if you cancel your account during this period. However, domain name registrations are non-refundable.
10. Which SiteGround plan is best for me?
Each SiteGround plan has different server resources. However, if you are just starting out, then their Startup plan would be perfect for that. You can upgrade at any time if you need more resources. Choose your SiteGround plan to get started.

I am going to host my site on SG and that is after i checked out almost all the other major hosts. The price-value is the most competitive.

What’s more to add?
I had Hostgator and Bluehost etc before finding SiteGround. They give me some hope for a better world, super awesome support and a packed bag of host candy.
cheers/Stephan

WOW!
I just registered a new domain and joined SiteGround yesterday. As a novice with WordPress, I was a little intimidated and needed help right out of the gate. I chatted with a wonderful help desk representative (who actually had a sense of humor!) and helped me solve the problem immediately without making me feel stupid for needed to ask simple questions. My wait time in the chat window was less than 20 seconds.
That would have been enough to make me a happy, but 30 minutes later I got a follow-up phone call from a Site Ground representative who introduced himself and said he had noticed that I was a new customer who had already contacted the site for help and wanted to reassure me that if I needed help at any time — no matter how often or for any matter — they would always be there to help me.
I’m blown away. After only a day, I’m ready to recommend SiteGround to everyone I know who needs a web host.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to leave reviews about SiteGround. I read dozens of comments before choosing my web host and I’m glad I listened to you!
Michiel Cremers
I was in desperate need of a new hosting company for a 30-60k site that went down on another platform. siteground staff was alway extremely helpfull and their direct line was available whenever I needed it.
My site was up and running with NO technical intervention from my part within 14 hours after it went down.
I am very gratefull and hope to be a long term client from here on.
Thank you
James Kaye
Siteground are amazing. I moved to them from Bluehost and have never looked back. Not only are their packages great value for Wordpress. but their customer service is second to none. On my old hosting I waited hours for any kind of response. With Siteground, I get immediate webchat with real people who are very friendly and helpful. Pretty much all of my support tickets are answered and resolved within about 15 minutes. I have seriously never experienced such incredible levels of customer service.
Pierre
I just switched to SiteGround this evening, and I’m frankly impressed by their amazing welcome, and a very quick, sympathic and efficient support immediately. I hope this will be as powerful with their servers and hosting, I guess there is no doubt about it !
I will come back to comment after a few days of services…

I love these guys, they make my work a lot easier. I do web design for clients and also have my own website and I’m starting to use SiteGround exclusively because they’re my favorite. I pretty much never leave reviews unless i’m very happy or pissed but I couldn’t be more happy with SiteGround. I’m always amazed by the fact that when I call, they answer immediately (let’s be honest, very few places do that), if i need tech help, they always have someone online to handle it. The prices are cheaper, the service is better, and they have a nice set of tools and help available. All of that stuff is great but what made me take the time to write a review is the service. I need something, they answer and its handled immediately, done deal. That’s impressive and thus warrants a nice review. thanks
Rolando Vargas
Siteground has great products por less. Excelentet customer service that answers you ticket in less thant 10 minutes. I couldn’t be happier with the them. My sites were under attack and they helped me to overcome the attack and pinpoint where and how to fix the holes in my site that allowed the attack. My site was up an running within minutes, tanks to the support of siteground. I recommend it if you are looking for great and fast support, excelente hosting and services and no least great pricing. Thank you Siteground.
Krystal Clark
Their service is absolutely amazing. I did a lot of research on hosting companies and I am truly grateful to have found siteground. I would have never gotten through building this website without their great support and chat system. I have zero web design knowledge and zero knowledge on the language of php they helped me so much. Keep up the good work!
Randeep Singh
The support is just amazing, live chat is fast and reliable. I would recommend Siteground to everyone who like fast support and services
Guido Hannes
I’m using Cloud VPS now for more than 1 month, and i’m very pleased about the fast and professional support of siteground team members. They not only provide good technical support, but also today supported me in working out the best strategy to transfer multiple site(s) from another shared hosting provider to siteground Cloud VPS. They take the time needed, are to the point and you can rely on their experience. Keep up with this good support !
Arvind
For personal use it will be good, but business pls dont use Siteground.
.
still the problem is not solved. As startup we thought Siteground will help us to grow but for it really make our entire system down for 2 days and still continuing. Dont know when they are going to solve this
David

William H.
Extremely helpful service. Cleared everything up in a friendly manner.
Marcus Patrick
We swapped over all our hosting and email to Siteground a couple of years ago and I can honestly say they are fantastic. The first time I contacted them was at 9.30pm UK time and within minutes, they had looked into the problem and sorted it out. Again, today, within seconds someone was there to help, with my problem solved within 10 minutes. If only all customer service experiences were so good!!!!!
Cherri Brown
Exceptional service, always available for help, polite, knowledgeable, and I’m happy I found SiteGround ~ ;->)
Freddy
Great place to do business with, (and I am not even a customer yet) I am looking forward to being part of them, I’ve chatted with them several time and they have been GREAT. very knowable and their patience level is awesome…
Dan Rippon
Time and time again – doesn’t matter which rep I speak to, these guys are seriously on their customer service game.
16 chats before you in the queue? BAM! Still answered in 30 seconds.
Tricky question that first line can’t resolve (which is rare), support ticket created BAM! Replied to within 15-20 minutes.
If decent customer service is one of your criteria for finding a host, take a good hard look at SiteGround.
David Neiman
1st technical help ticket submitted at 10 p.m. on a Sunday night on a holiday weekend. Response within 5 minutes with fix and also HOW the fix was resolved. Are you kidding me?!?! I thought I’d have to wait at least until the next business day to get any kind of response. Wow, I’m impressed!
L. S.
I have just started hosting my site with SiteGround and I am a very happy customer so far.
The support team is excellent, friendly, dedicated and very, very, patient and kind.
The prices are alright too.
Donna Murphy
Every time I need help or advise they astound me how quick, freindly, professional and helpful they are. Definitely the best providers I have dealt with to date
Julius
I moved my hosting to Siteround a little over a year ago now and my life just became easier after that. So far I still have to run into trouble …. knock on wood..
The small things for which I needed their support have all been solved within 30 minutes. Needed them today to transfer a domain from Godaddy to SG which usually can be done via website but Godaddy (once again) made a mess …. SG solved the problem in a chat that lasted less than 9 minutes …
Guswindra Lubis
Asked a lot of question, chat for almost an hour to get whatever info i need, SiteGround has the best Support Team! thank you guys! keep up the good work
Julian
Not that good.
My first problem with siteground is about the cost, the fist year they offers you a good price but when you are going to renew they charge you the regular price that is on small print when you start, siteground regular price is very high for the service that they give. You can get more from other without being cheated after the first year. Siteground is the only hosting company that rise the price to the double after a year and charge it automatically.
Second, I bought a VPS cloud hosting, the tech support was not the best, they made a lot of mistakes with the migration and the configuration of the server and as a result we had complete days out of the air.
Michael
I just switched to SiteGround and have no idea about moving the website. So far i have had almost instantaneous Chat support that really has been helpful.
Bernd Krell
I am now nearly 3 years with Siteground. I used other hosting services before for my clients.
I have around 50 Reseller accounts, some dedicated servers and some other accounts.
Siteground is by far the best in term of support / response time and server up time. Never in the past years have I been called by a client that their site is down which used to happen frequently with other providers.
My only complain is the more or less non existing love for resellers.
Yes they have the reseller accounts but those are quite limited. You can’t sell a GoGeek or Dedicated Server to your customer as you can’t make any money on it. I don’t understand that. Why should I sell it if I can’t make money?
We are an IT Outsource company, so we want to keep all accounts under our reseller account in order to manage them for our clients. Thus an affiliate program doesn’t work for us.
That’s a shame. I would love to sell more accounts to my clients but I need to make money.
Brad
Do not host with siteground.com. I setup a small affiliate website to promote Aliexpress products. It started to get 100 visitors a day and I received an email saying that I was using to much bandwidth and now my website just displays a 503 – Service unavailable message.
If you have a website that gets no traffic it might be ok but otherwise don’t waste your time and money.
Tsveta Stefanova
Hi Brad, we are sorry to hear about your experience with our service. 100 visits a day is indeed a very low number, there must be another reason for the errors received. We wll be glad to review your case in detail and assist you in resolving it. If you send us more details at news [at] siteground.com, we will make sure to help you further.
The visits outlined on the plans details page (10k monthly visits on StartUp, 25k on GrowBig, 100k on GoGeek) are not strictly set limits. They are only approximate values so that people can get an idea when choosing a plan and decide which one will best suit their needs. A well optimized website can have much more visits than the listed here.
Your website might have been limited due using too much other resources. We’re assuming since you mention you had a small website, that your hosting plan was a shared one – as you know, that means you share the server resources with other clients. So naturally when our system detects that you are using too many resources, compared to the other users on the server, and endanger the performance of all websites on the server, it sends alerts out to you. Our team is always available and helps customers with additional information about the resource with excessive usage and provides tips how to resolve the issue, or suggests a plan that is more suitable.
If you are willing to discuss further, you are most welcome to get in touch with the Customer Care team. Regards!
Morgan Estes
Switching to SiteGround has been relatively smooth. The problems I’ve had have been resolved in minutes with great explanations from their team.
I really appreciate the easy SSL installation and support of tools like Git and wp-cli, but I would like to be able to configure their SG-Git a bit more (not have my entire WP install under version control). The GUI and automation tools are a breeze to use, though, and make setup quick and easy.
My site is faster and more secure now that I’ve moved to SiteGround, and I expect I’ll be using them for quite some time.
Alvaro
After an in depth chat about technical details, siteground is far better than my current host. Siteground is well known in the market for years and years and this gives you the trust that you can rely on them since you are in good hands.
Pre-sales customer service was excellent.

I like everything about siteGround. The short contact with them, I already fell in love with their products and technology. I know for sure I will be spending more time to learn more about them.
The support system and people who worked in are really something else, they are so patient and professional, I think they are from the Mars. I kept thinking this will be the time they all going to jump on and screaming at me and saying something very nasty. They haven’t yet, and I think they will not. because they are a selected group.

Site Ground has always been great, helping me as I needed it. I’m in no way an expert, but you would not know it for the supporting staff is so fine.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this company is. In all my life, I have never experienced such reliable, prompt and quality customer support. I never leave reviews like this and I felt compelled to after SiteGround support went above and beyond to take care of me. They are simply the best in the biz.

Just started with SiteGround on the resellers side and the support has been awesome on the site transfers so far. Extremely fast response time, super fast fixes to any issue I have had a long the way transferring sites over. So far… SiteGround ROCKS!

Every time a problem arises and I am trying to solve it myself the red slowly rises in my eyes, I finally submit a support ticket to the guys and girls of Siteground.
And EVERY time the problem is solved quickly, professionally, and with good advice.
They appear to be seeing what I haven’t even thought about.
Have been a Siteground member for over 13 years now (with several sites) and have nothing but praise for the team.
(I also realise now that I have made stupid mistakes myself for that long…
)
Thanks Siteground, for having my back!

A Perfect Launch!
I just opened an account with Siteground after a long and hard search for a webhost with authentication and forum capabilities. I found it all under one roof for a greatly affordable rate. And the most important thing was, the Live Chat helper, basically held my hand and walked me through it without any HolierThanThou Techie vibe which was surprising and welcome. So this is what good service feels like! Highly recommended indeed!!

Excellent response today from SiteGround after I’d been doing some testing with Azure Active Directory and managed to trigger a “brute force attack” alert and get my IP address blocked. They not only cleared the block almost instantly, but included the error message from the log which is very useful. Great service!

Before someone saying that most are Shared Hosting, so it doesn’t equal their “position”, I might add that thru the three years already I have been with SiteGround, I have/had Shared, VPS and Dedicated Server.
I have been on “top-notch” hosting servers throughout the years, from Site5, BlueHost, SingleHop, The Planet, MediaTemple, and others to finally decide to switch to SiteGround. I must add that SiteGround managed to keep my sites running for years when others barely lasted three months. It is safe to host with them, fast deployment if you consider that they do invest in keeping their server up-to-date, besides adding new technologies such as HHVM most recently, and Staging, which allows you to avoid “Cowboy Coding” while keeping both a production/development instance running. This besides their cache features and so on.
Pros:
SiteGround is indeed cheaper than others, and more resourceful. You pay a small fee for a tremendous amount of in-house build set of features that will only benefit your site(s). Support is terrifically fast, and they know what they are doing; therefore you can always rely on them and even ask their opinion regarding matters that go out of your scope.
Cons:
I miss the fact their forum is nowhere to be found, and while commenting on their blog, there’s no option to keep track of replies to our comments. Somehow the “interactive” end between the company and the customers, when it comes to being notified, or even exchange opinions with other clients, went a bit missing.
My rate would be: 5 stars.

SO FAR, SO GOOD
I have just opened a GrowBig account with Siteground because of the lack of support and resources from my current host. I am not used to cPanel and so have been in contact with support several times. Each time they have been very helpful. Highly recommended!!
