While you get the first year hosting with a “discount” the renewal is far beyond what I might consider reasonable. In fact, if you were to create a new account on their own site you get the hosting for 1/4th of the price.
So, i’d say try looking elsewhere simply because their renewal prices are not reasonable.
Also if you want to delete your credit card details on their site, you will have to contact them as I couldnt find the option to do so myself.
I got an email saying they would auto-renew with my credit card on file. I tried removing it could not find the option, had to contact support.
In fairness, the support was very helpful and professional in deleting my card on file, nevertheless, had I been someone less tech oriented or delayed contacting them, I would have paid 4 times as much for hosting as I would get elsewhere.

Yeah, the reps are great. But management is clueless.
I just lost an hour or so, because of Dynamic IP on my Internet provider.
Siteground should have noticed the dozen or more logins in rapid succession, which never reached cPanel, and offered me some kind of popup instructions : “It seems you are on a network that uses Dynamic IP, please use this URL instead…..” You know, like a real technology company.
But nice work, support staff., for solving it for me.
