DreamHost Review From Our Experts

I’ve tested a lot of web hosts, but DreamHost stood out to me for one simple reason — it offers no-nonsense WordPress hosting that works well for DIY users. If you’re someone who prefers figuring things out yourself but still wants reliable support behind the scenes, there’s a lot to like here.

When I first signed up, I wasn’t expecting much. But after setting up a live WordPress site, running real stress tests, and pushing it through traffic spikes, I was honestly surprised by how stable and responsive the platform was, especially for the price.

In this review, I’ll walk you through what I tested, where DreamHost shines, where it still falls short, and who I think it’s best suited for. I’ll also share some behind-the-scenes performance data that most hosting reviews skip.

If you’re a blogger, small business owner, or just someone looking for dependable hosting with flexible billing and built-in backups, then this review will help you decide if DreamHost is the right fit.

My Verdict on DreamHost

After putting DreamHost through speed tests, stress tests, and uptime monitoring, I think it’s one of the best value options for WordPress users who don’t need hand-holding.

It’s affordable, reliable, and surprisingly capable, as long as you’re comfortable using a custom control panel instead of cPanel.

It’s not perfect. You won’t get instant phone support, and the entry-level email accounts are only free for 3 months. But DreamHost makes up for it with daily backups, a generous refund policy, and performance that held up even under load.

DreamHost is worth a closer look if you want flexible pricing, solid uptime, and a low-maintenance way to host your WordPress site.

⭐ Rating:4.8 out of 5
📈 Best For:DIY WordPress users, bloggers, and startups looking for budget-friendly hosting
🔥 What Stands Out:97-day refund policy, NVMe storage, daily backups, custom control panel
💡 Pro Tip:The ‘Web Hosting Growth’ plan offers a great balance of resources for growing websites.

If you’re curious how I tested DreamHost and why I trust these results, the following sections break down everything I did and what I found.

My Hosting Evaluation Criteria

For this review, I didn’t rely on marketing pages or affiliate hype. I signed up for a real DreamHost plan, installed WordPress, and ran a full round of hands-on performance tests.

Here’s what I focused on to evaluate DreamHost for WordPress users:

  • Ease of Use: I explored their custom control panel and dashboard to see if they are beginner-friendly, especially for users moving from cPanel.
  • Speed and Reliability: I ran speed tests using Pingdom and GTmetrix, and performed uptime monitoring and global response time tests to simulate real-world conditions.
  • Stress Testing: Using K6, I simulated up to 50 concurrent visitors to see how well their servers hold up under traffic spikes.
  • Support Experience: I tested DreamHost’s live chat, ticket system, and knowledge base to evaluate how quickly and effectively they handle real support questions.
  • Pricing Breakdown: I compared their web hosting and managed WordPress plans to see which ones offer the best value, and where the hidden trade-offs are.

This way, everything in this review is based on real use, not just what sounds good on paper.

Why You Can Trust WPBeginner 🧡

Why You Can Trust WPBeginner

At WPBeginner, we’ve spent the last 16+ years reviewing and recommending WordPress hosting providers based on real testing, not sponsored fluff or marketing hype.

We run performance benchmarks, interact with support teams, and set up live WordPress sites so you can see how a host performs under real conditions, not just perfect demos. You can learn more about our editorial process here.

This DreamHost review is based on actual testing, site setup, speed data, and support conversations — all to help you make the most informed decision possible.

Bottom line: I found DreamHost to be fast and reliable. They have flexible hosting plans and friendly technical support.

That being said, let’s get into the detailed DreamHost review so that you can compare the test results and make up your mind.

About DreamHost

DreamHost website

DreamHost has been around since 1997 — making it one of the few independent hosting companies still going strong after more than two decades. It was started by four college friends in California and now powers over 1.5 million websites worldwide, including more than 750,000 WordPress installs.

I hosted my personal website on DreamHost for a very long time. And what I love most about DreamHost is its focus on simplicity.

They’ve built their own custom control panel instead of using cPanel, and while it takes a minute to adjust, it actually feels cleaner once you get used to it.

They’re also a certified carbon-neutral host and part of the U.S. Green Chamber of Commerce. This is a nice bonus if sustainability matters to you, and it’s not something many providers prioritize.

While they offer everything from monthly to cloud to managed WordPress hosting, I could tell right away that DreamHost is built for self-starters. If you like having control without needing constant support, this host will feel like home.

DreamHost Pros and Cons

After testing DreamHost, here’s what I found to be its biggest strengths — and where it still has room to improve.

✅ What I Like

  • 97-day money-back guarantee: That’s one of the most generous refund windows in hosting. It gives you time to really test things out without pressure.
  • Free domain + privacy: You get domain registration and WHOIS privacy included, with no hidden upsells like some other hosts.
  • Daily backups included: Even the entry-level web hosting plan backs up your site automatically every day.
  • NVMe SSD storage and unmetered bandwidth: My test site loaded quickly, even before I enabled caching or a CDN.
  • Clean, custom control panel: Once I got used to it, DreamHost’s dashboard was easier to use than I expected. Everything’s in one place.

❌ What I Don’t Like

  • No phone support by default: You can request a callback, but it costs extra and isn’t instant. Live chat works, but it’s not always ideal.
  • Limited free email: Email accounts are only included for free for the first 3 months on their web hosting plans.
  • Learning curve for the panel: If you’re used to cPanel, DreamHost’s custom panel takes some getting used to.
  • U.S.-based data centers only: This might affect latency slightly for international traffic without a CDN.

DreamHost Performance Tests

Performance is always one of the most significant deciding factors for me when choosing a host, especially for WordPress sites. To see how DreamHost stacks up, I ran a series of speed, response time, and stress tests using a live demo site built with WordPress.

Here’s what I found.

Speed Test Results

DreamHost speed test

I ran a GTmetrix test on a fresh WordPress install hosted with DreamHost. The results were strong — fully loaded in just 470ms, with a Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) of 375ms and no layout shifts or blocking time at all.

GTmetrix gave DreamHost a performance grade of 100%, and the structure scored 97%. That is excellent even before any speed optimization or caching tweaks.

That’s the kind of head start I love to see when launching a new site.

Stress Testing (K6 by Grafana Labs)

I used K6 to simulate up to 50 virtual users hitting the site at once. This is the kind of surge you’d expect during a promotion or product launch.

To really understand how DreamHost holds up, I tested both with and without caching enabled.

DreamHost stress test without cache

With caching turned off, response times fluctuated as more users joined.

The site stayed up, but you could see it struggling a bit, which is common when caching isn’t active.

DreamHost stress test with cache

As soon as I enabled DreamHost’s built-in caching, the results improved dramatically. The site handled 6,600 total requests with an average response time of just 270ms.

There were no slowdowns or failed requests. Enabling caching is a must if you’re planning to use DreamHost for a blog, small business website, or online store.

Server Response Time

DreamHost response time

I also tested global response time using PageSpeedPlus to simulate visits from different locations. DreamHost’s U.S. server in Oregon performed extremely well, completing the full load in just 1 second with a 46ms render time.

Performance stayed solid across North America and Europe, with Canada and Frankfurt staying under 3 seconds. The only noticeable slowdown came from Tokyo and Canada Central, but those could be improved with a CDN (I recommend Cloudflare’s free CDN, which also includes a built-in cloud firewall for improved website security).

Uptime Monitoring

DreamHost uptime chart

During my review period, I ran 24/7 uptime monitoring to catch any outages, even short ones. I’m happy to report that DreamHost delivered strong results: 99.82% uptime over a 30-day window.

There was one short outage totaling about 18 minutes, but the server recovered quickly. That’s still a reliable track record for web hosting, especially when paired with their built-in backup tools for peace of mind.

Features and Ease of Use

Instead of using cPanel like most other hosts, DreamHost built their own custom dashboard. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first.

But after using it for a few days, I found it surprisingly clean and easy to navigate.

DreamHost dashboard

I could manage everything in one place without dealing with a cluttered interface. This included websites, domains, email accounts, databases, and backups.

It might not have every advanced toggle that cPanel users are used to, but it covers the essentials well.

  • One-click WordPress install: It only took me about 60 seconds to launch a clean WordPress site.
  • Free domain + privacy: DreamHost includes a domain name and WHOIS privacy with all plans.
  • Daily backups: I use Duplicator to back up all my WordPress websites. However, it is still good to know that there is an additional daily backup stored by the hosting provider.
  • Built-in caching (for WordPress): This made a big difference in my performance tests. It’s included for free.
  • Custom control panel vs. cPanel: I didn’t miss cPanel. DreamHost’s panel felt faster and more streamlined.

If you’re switching from another host or just getting started, DreamHost makes it easy to manage your site without needing a developer. Everything you need is in one place, and nothing feels overly complicated.

DreamHost Plans and Pricing

DreamHost offers a variety of hosting plans, but the two I focused on during testing were their Web Hosting and Managed WordPress (DreamPress) plans. Both come with solid features, but the right one depends on how much performance and flexibility you need.

Every plan includes NVMe SSD storage, free SSL, and daily backups. New site owners also get a free domain for the first year with yearly plans, which is a nice perk.

Web Hosting

This is the most budget-friendly option and is great for beginners, small blogs, and new projects. These plans are best when paid annually, but monthly options are available.

The Web Hosting Growth plan is marked “Most Popular” and is the best starting point for most users.

It provides enough resources to handle growing traffic and gives you the flexibility to host up to 50 websites.

Keep in mind that email is only free for the first three months. After that, it becomes a paid add-on starting at $1.99 per mailbox per month or $19.99 per mailbox per year.

Managed WordPress Hosting (DreamPress)

If you’re building a growing site that needs better speed, security, or staging tools, then DreamPress is worth looking at. It’s a fully managed WordPress hosting plan that’s over 5x faster than their web hosting.

It comes with:

  • Automatic WordPress core updates
  • Pre-installed SSL and private IP (great for eCommerce)
  • SSD storage, unmetered bandwidth, and caching built in
  • One-click staging and daily on-demand backups
  • Unlimited CDN and Jetpack Professional on higher-tier plans

If you want a hosting plan that takes care of the technical stuff for you, DreamPress is a nice upgrade. It’s especially helpful for online stores or high-traffic sites that need extra stability.

Just remember: DreamHost’s best prices are for the first term. Renewal rates are higher, so it’s smart to lock in the longest billing cycle you can comfortably afford.

DreamHost Customer Support Experience

I tested DreamHost support using both live chat and tickets, just like I would if something broke on a real site. Overall, the support team was friendly and helpful, though there are a few trade-offs to know about.

DreamHost support dashboard screenshot

✅ What I Like

  • 24/7 availability: You can reach them anytime via live chat or email ticket.
  • Award-winning support: DreamHost won both the 2025 Stevie Gold and Globee® Awards for service excellence.
  • Helpful knowledge base: Their tutorials are easy to follow and cover most topics.
  • Positive user feedback: Many users praise their fast response times and friendly staff.

❌ What Could Be Better

  • No phone support by default: You can request a callback, but it’s paid and not in all plans.
  • Email response time: Some replies can take up to one or two hours.
  • Mixed reviews: A few users report issues with slow resolutions or trouble reaching support during busy hours.

In my experience, chat was the best option. I usually got connected to a human within 2–5 minutes, and they explained things clearly without copy-paste scripts.

Tickets were slower, but they were still answered within an hour. If your issue is urgent, go with chat first.

If you ever need hands-on help, DreamHost also sells professional services for site management, SEO, and development. It’s a nice add-on if you’re running a business site or just want extra peace of mind.

DreamHost’s support is solid if you’re okay with chat and email. But if you prefer phone calls and fast escalations, that’s something to consider before signing up.

Final Verdict: Should You Use DreamHost?

After using DreamHost for years and then testing it thoroughly again for this review, I’m genuinely impressed with the value they offer. It’s a great fit for WordPress users who want control, but don’t want things to feel complicated.

Performance was solid across the board. My site stayed fast and stable, even under load, and their daily backups and custom dashboard made management feel simple.

DreamHost isn’t trying to be flashy. Instead, they focus on reliability, privacy, and offering good tools at a fair price — and they mostly deliver on that promise.

Who is it for: If you’re a DIY website owner, blogger, or small business with a WordPress site, DreamHost is a strong choice. Their support team is helpful, and the knowledge base is packed with tutorials if you like solving things on your own.

DreamHost delivers a fast, affordable, and well-supported WordPress experience for most users, especially if you’re okay working through chat and email.

  1. It was the Dreamhost 1-Click install that introduced me to WordPress more than 10 years ago. I’ve stuck with them ever since. Love the web panel, the support from knowledgeable people who almost always look beyond the specific question to solve the “real” problem, and the flexibility of being able to manage multiple domains for multiple accounts. And I even *always* read the monthly newsletter.

  2. I’ve been with DreamHost for several years, and I’ve never had a problem with them. They answer any questions I have quickly and they’re very convenient to contact. They offer so much at a reasonable price. Not planning on leaving anytime soon.

  3. I really enjoyed a long run with Dreamhost. I hosted several small business websites. Their hosting platform is easy to use, and the support is super. The only reason I dropped my account is that I ran out of paying customers. I don’t think any of my sites every went down in 10 years with Dreamhost. If you are late on a bill, they are very nice about letting you catch up. Well done!

  4. Dreamhost is a fantastic webserver. I have been with them for years and love everything about them. Great service when needed and clear instructions on the site. Bravo.

  5. I’ve been with Dreamhost for almost 10 years. Low cost. Good support and I’ve been happy with the service.

  6. DreamHost,

As a seed waiting to blossom in the non-profit sector, having a host, domain, and email for free is a wonderful blessing you provide. Thank you very much for helping non-profits in thier beginnings, which has little or no funding at this stage. This service is a very crucial and critical source of our success to help our communities.

    Best,

The Center for Children with Incarcerated Parents of Atlanta, Incorporated.

  7. The farthest thing from being a dream. The admin area was so confusing and I couldn’t get help from anyone. Took well over 24 hours to even get my ticket responded to. In the amount of time it took for me to get a response from you, i found another company and they had my sites moved over and I was up and running. I had already forgotten about the “dream” host until I actually received a response for help on how to move my sites. Instead I got an automated response on how to do it. Where the host I found, moved them all for me within 20 minutes.

  8. Always get great service from Dreamhost. Their tech support is excellent and always responds quickly. Not going to change anytime soon.

  9. DreamHost is an apt name. Whenever I’ve needed support, it is always prompt and proficient. I love this service!

  10. I don’t usually write reviews, but I’ve been with Dreamhost for about 5 years and am very impressed with their level of service. If I have any tech problems, I can get onto live chat (24/7) and the issues are usually resolved immediately (if it’s possible for them to do so). Staff are wonderfully friendly and the hosting platform is very stable / reliable.

  11. I was unaware of Google’s punishment of non-mobile-friendly websites. We went from #2 or #3 on 1st page to somewhere in the hundred-thousands. I only learned of this disaster via DreamHost’s newsletter (April), which I didn’t get to until early May.

DreamHost teamed up with Duda.com which provided me with a WYSIWYG editor and I had our site back to 1st page search in 24 hours.

I trust DreamHost and their company recommendations. stopthehacker.com and now duda.com.

We are a non-profit church and they returned the money I paid for 1st month of duda.com’s service.

I have had no performance issues with DreamHost and would gladly pay for their services, if I had a personal website, not related to the church.

  12. I have been with DreamHost since 2002, and have been very happy with their customer service and range of options for my hosting accounts. Last week, I discovered that my email was not syncing properly; I hastily contacted DH for assistance, assuming that a recent system update was to blame for the email outage. Much to my chagrin, the issue was actually with Google, and they graciously helped to make sure I was back up and running very quickly. I really appreciate the fact that they are using social media (@dreamhostcare and @dreamhoststatus) to communicate with their customers in a real-time, responsive and proactive manner. I wish more services worked like this!

    Another Happy DreamHost fan,
    Anissa Thompson

  13. We had a security issue with out web site and the Security folks at Dreamhost got back to us quickly and effectively. Thanks!

  14. Cancelled my account within 2 days when I found out that DreamHost stores ssh/sftp passwords in a reversible unsalted encryption (probably even on plaintext). We are in 2015!!! Stay away.

  15. I have been fighting with Dreamhost since this new SSD move for shared hosting. I’ve had numerous downtime issues and lots of slowness. When I submit a support ticket and they check four hours later, the site is usually up, so they say there’s nothing to fix. I’ve been with them for over 5 years and these past two months have been the worst ever. Hoping they iron this stuff out soon.

  16. Great service, no downtime, fantastic support that replies within six-eight hours and generally proposes the proper solution to all sort of problems. And the flat fee on unlimited storage can’t be beat by anybody. Please guys at DreamHost don’t turn off the VPSs on regular disks – I can well do without the speed of SSDs, but I can’t do without unlimited storage.

  17. Have been a customer for a few years now. Great tech support and no downtime that I can recall. That’s really what it’s all about.

  18. I have been using DreamHost (specifically, DreamPress) since May of 2014. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever leave. Their servers are fast, never had a problem with security, and I almost want to start sending their customer support guys Christmas cards. I don’t write many raving reviews but these people deserve it. It’s so nice not having to worry about server issues. If I break something on the site, just use live chat on dreampress and they’ll fix it. I’ve never run into an issue they couldn’t fix. That, in and of itself, is invaluable. At $20/month can’t beat it. Only thing that gets annoying sometimes is they start sending emails telling me my bill is due a month before the due date.

  19. I had a technical question that was beyond my understanding, and they explained to me how to set up what I was trying to do. They responded promptly to my many questions, and in a way that even a layman like me could understand. Thanks, guys!

  20. I’ve recently changed to Wordpress Hosting on DreamHost and I’ve been impressed with the support I’ve received.

A recent Wordpress upgrade created a problem with my admin dashboard and DreamHost were quick and responsive to my ticket. My problem was fixed with only 2 support interactions and admin dashboard access restored in just 4 hours – my website stayed live and unaffected throughout.

    Thanks DreamHost

  21. My outgoing emails have been blocked for five days and still no action from Dreamhost despite raising four tickets and contacting on line help twice..

My business needs to send emails and my customers deserve better service than I am receiving from Dreamhost.

  22. Great job with the support, Dreamhost. The person was patient, understanding and came through with the right solution… both times I chatted in yesterday (2 separate people). I haven’t used support much till now, but yesterday confirmed why I’m with you guys. Kudos.

  23. I expected a hosting service to be run by robots, and that the customer service was going to be awful. And I was pleasantly surprised! The online chat rep that I used a couple of times was quickly available and knowledgable. I’m totally impressed.

  24. Unfortunately, I’m not very pleased with Dreamhost. My site went down unexpectedly last Friday, and when I emailed them, I got what looked like a form letter back suggesting three different options. All three of them were impossible to do with my site down. When I replied for clarification, I pretty much got a “Well, looks like your site is back up now” and that was it.

I was also very less than pleased to see that they only provide customer service by email, unless you want to pay extra. Emailing me a form letter a few hours later is not customer service.

  25. Amazing website. I started using Dreamhost a few days ago to migrate my website over from wordpress.com to wordpress.org, and it has been a surprisingly relaxed experience- all due to Dremahost’s amazing customer service staff, who are open for live chat 24/7, and surprisingly human. It’s honestly made learning the ropes so much easier.

  26. Loved the expert assistance. In fact, the service tech was so well informed and impeccably polite I didn’t quite know how to react. But was delightfully pleased, nonetheless.

  27. The person who rebuilt my website recommended DreamHost for its ability to handle the various problems I’d previously encountered.

As a person who barely bumbles her way around in a dashboard I’ve been very pleased with the support help, knowledge and response time in troubleshooting and fixing problems caused by WP and plug-in updates. Having this type of support is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

  28. Unfortunately, my experience with DH was far less positive. While shopping around for a solution to my domain issues, DH was the only one that said that I had to buy a hosting option along with a domain in order to resolve my issue, which lead me to believe that they were trying to milk more money from someone who didn’t know what they were doing.

Needless to say, I did not decide to go with them. They did have a fast and responsive help desk, however.

  29. I’ve only been with DreamHost a short while and had only one problem that they very efficiently sorted out. I wish I had contacted them sooner instead of trying to resolve the problem myself. It related to a Wordpress update. It was something I could not have done myself. I appreciated the prompt action and the ability to get on with my blog.

  30. I’m happy with the price and the support. I’ve used the online chat and my problems have been solved immediately. Their interface is a bit outdated and not intuitive, but I am overall satisfied.

  31. Good support. Take time to understand questions, answers aren’t scripted gibberish. Relevant, helpful, technically accurate. I’ve been with Dreamhost for nearly ten years and have always been satisfied with their service and support.

  32. I have been very happy with DreaHost. I don’t know a lot about the hosting business, but the have consistently provided help when I ran into a hosting problem. I recently decided to move my only web site/blog from WP to DreamHost since DreamHost is who I bought my domain name from. Now everything is at one place. I think the on-line immediate chat provided by DreamHost is amazing and a very useful service. They have always been very responsive to my questions no matter how lame they may have been!

I expect I’ll be a DreamHost customer for a long, long time. I see no reason to do otherwise!

  33. Dreamhost was quick, friendly, professional and able to ‘think out of the box’ to solve problems – rather than rely solely on existing processes/policies. I appreciate their flexibility.

  34. Honestly, I can’t rate DreamHost highly enough. My whole experience has been flawless, including my first time using their live support service the other day. Waited about a minute to speak to someone live who resolved everything courteously and quickly (it was a Wordpress issue not a DreamHost issue). Amazing. These guys are great! Use them.

  35. I’ve been a Happy Dreamhoster since 2003. Just checked and I currently have 38 domains, 92 subdomains, 74 users, and 142GB storage on one $10/month shared account. That’s crazy insane. I have four domains on VPS for a few high-traffic sites, and now that they’re on SSDs, they just rock. I have a client with a $300/month dedicated server at a big datacenter with worse response times (yeah, it’s WIn Server – not supported by DH). DH’s dashboard makes cPanel like something from the last millenium DH support is friendly and useful. In 12 years I’ve gone from newb to guru and DH support has worked with me at every level. Love status.dh.com, love the wiki, love the newslettery. Call me a big fan.

  36. I wouldn’t trust this company at this point. A year ago we signed up for a hosting package and shortly after we were robbed. All of our personal documents (car titles, receipts, credit card info and cards) were stolen and the thief actually used our CC’s and were caught on film. Needless to say our lives were turned upside down and inside out. Not only did our bank help us out and cover the fees that were stolen and issue new cards on our accounts, but several other parts of life were not so easy to deal with. Computer had all of our info with passwords etc and we had to get new email accounts created and then reroute all of our current stuff to new addresses etc. Really wasn’t too bad as everyone we dealt with was more than helpful and actually could tell that they felt bad for us. Everyone but this company. Its now been a little over a year trying to get this so called “DreamHost” company to help us fix this. In the time that has elapsed NO ONE has tried to communicate with us over the phone and every time someone communicates with us it is through email and a new person almost every time. We have since been accused of trying to get a discount for new customers even though we have NEVER used the account or been able to log into it for technically over a year. They are still billing our cancelled credit card with knowledge. To top it off they claim that it is more secure to deal with the sensitive information by having us post our info into their “secure” form, rather than call and talk to us over the phone. This is absolutely unheard of, according to everyone we have dealt with through this (authorities wise.)

  37. I’ve only been with DreamHost for a short while and already the experience has been a huge step up from my last hosting company. Really impressed with their services and the customer support is just awesome. The control panel is excellent and if you’re ever unsure the wiki has everything you need. The only hosting company you will ever need. Thoroughly recommend.

  38. After all the other hosting systems I tried, I was so grateful to find Dreamhost. Support NEVER talks down to newbies and they are not only patient but FRIENDLY. I’ve been with them for about 4 years now and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

  39. I’ve been a customer of dreamhost for the past several years and have always gotten excellent service. Occasionally, I work on my client’s websites and they are a nightmare. There’s hardly any support(they charge), or the settings (cpanel) are so hidden or missing. I recently got a website up and Dreamhost’s service has gotten even better. Within a few hours, I had my questions answered. I always recommend Dreamhost to my clients and friends.

  40. I haven’t used their hosting for a long time yet. Just registered several domains and started a Wordpress hosting. Still so far I have very positive experience with Dreamhost. I noticed that the control panel and account management can be somewhat confusing for a novice users. However my impression this is because of high flexibility and number of features which are available. And support is very helpful in resolving your difficulties. No major issues so far. I have chosen Dreamhost as long-term hosting services provider and have no reasons to regret.

  41. Have been with DreamHost for about 3 years now. They are hard to fault. I am based in New Zealand, I thought with the different time zone things would be slow if I had a problem. I was well surprised when I had a query they got back to me very fast not that I have problems very often. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable hosting. Keep it up DreamHost

  42. DH has been a blessing to me. they help me with all questions, in a timely manner and were excellent with their responses. I highly recommend them to any one wanting to host their sites.

  43. I have been with Dreamhost for several years now, and have gradually moved over several client websites to them. I’ve always found their support team to be great. Sometimes they point me to their wiki, which is well-written and thorough. And the troubleshooting dilemmas that I’m able to resolve with the help of the Dreamhost Wiki increases my skillset. The ability to view a site before making a DNS change has been helpful when moving clients over to Dreamhost … either during a Wordpress redesign or just to ensure there is no down time for them. I will continue to recommend Dreamhost.

  44. You guys are truly awesome. I just really got into the website maintenance racket this last year and while I’m learning that I still have a lot to learn about running my own site, Dreamhost has been incredibly knowledgeable, patient and helpful. The few times I have had questions or issues they have not only responded extremely fast, but they have been very helpful; usually including additional tips and advice that made the process even better. Thank you guys for being awesome, you make this rookie feel like a veteran.

  45. I have always found Dreamhost support for their shared web hosting (the only service I’ve used) to be excellent for the years I’ve used them.

The last time I needed them was when they offered to move me to their new solid state drive hosting. They did it quickly, faster than they promised, and to my surprise there were no issues. I thought I’d need to reconfigure some things, but so far, nothing. Nonetheless, they invited me to contact them if I needed such help.

Has DH been flawless? No, in my early years with them there were some widespread downtime issues. However, during that time they communicated openly and honestly, and I’ve found them to be extremely reliable in the later years I’ve been hosted with them.

Overall, I’m happy I chose to be with Dreamhost, and their pricing is fair, support great.

  46. I’ve been a DreamHost customer since 2007. Overall, I’m quite happy with the value, technical offerings, and support service. They have always been responsive when I’ve had questions or problems. In a few cases, the problems might have been preventable with better proactive communication, but this is a relatively minor issue and I hope to be with DreamHost for a long time to come!

  47. I came to know DreamHost after hosting three sites on a different hosting company. I switched one of my sites to DreamHost (more than a year ago) as I needed better customer support and the ability to customize my hosting solution (specifically, adding OAuth and IonCube capability). It turned out the DreamHost was a great choice. Their customer support is one of the best in the industry, staffed with technical people that know Linux, and are capable of solving issues and respond relatively quickly. Their pricing is also very competitive and their Wiki is full with great articles and how-to information for managing different aspects of your site. Keep it up!

  48. I want to share that the service from dreamhost.com is very excellent, i came from other provider and this one (dreamhost) they are very kind, fast response, highly efficient. thumbs up!

  49. I have been using DreamHost since 2004, yes you read that right, for over 11 years I have been hosting with them!! Its been a blissful reunion with many benifits and lots of great toys to mess around with. From instant installs of WordPress, to Zen Cart, to even geeking out and installing custom php extensions through ssh.

I haven’t looked back and am still enjoying the benifits of my Crazy Domain Insain plan I orginally signed up with all that time ago. If your looking for a host that has solid servers, great speeds, fantasic support and a wacky monthly news letter to boot…look no further. You’ll be glad you took he plunge. Spoken from a long standing DreamHost Customer.
