My primary domain was going to expire. And, I didn’t want to renew my old domain. Key: I told them to NOT renew my old domain. Fast forward to expiration date, they charged me to renew my old domain, even though I told them numerous amounts of times not to renew my old domain. They say that I won’t get a refund, and will cancel future renewals. Well, that doesn’t help and I am out of almost $25.00! What a joke!

In my experience, Green Geeks have responsive, easygoing and simple to use technical support with friendly staff that goes extra mile to help you. Most of the hosting companies have more or less same packages, but it is attitude and service that differentiates them. I am not power user and my knowledge in WP, hosting and servers is basic, and often Green Geeks support stuff would give me advice that is beyond scope of hosting related support. That’s is what I value the most, flexible and humane attitude, from knowledgeable stuff that seems very efficient and genuine in helping you. Also, waiting time for chat with support is minimal, or in most cases there is no waiting time at all.
Other pros are value for money (EcoSite Starter) with loads of included scripts, options and built-in solutions. I also find billing transparent and effective, with functional account manager/dashboard system.
At some periods I had occasional e-mail server troubles with e-mail server IP addresses being blacklisted, or e-mail not working at all. I am okay with occasional maintenance downtime (which is rare and always announced in advance), but as small business user I need 100% reliability of sending and receiving e-mail. Support stuff was actively working in removal of my problem and they did offer me to buy upgrade and move to dedicated server. That did not seem acceptable solution for me, as my standpoint is that $120/per year hosting service should include reliable e-mail traffic for 3 or 4 e-mail addresses that I use. On other hand, at moment of this writing, I did not have any major e-mail troubles for past 7 months.

I really can’t say enough about Greengeeks. I bought their web-hosting and domain name services expecting reasonable service, but they have just continued to please me more and more the longer I have them. They let me know exactly what I need to know (maintenance schedules, domain expiries, etc), and nothing annoyingly more. They value is also very very competitive. But they really pleasantly surprised me with their customer service (I know each guy by name- I’ve chatted with them so often). Again, they are very chill and know their stuff. Overall, they feel like a very pro yet personable company.
I am amazing pleased because its not easy to find that great a deal anymore!

these guys are simply the best! I’m not saying things don’t go wrong but if they do, that’s very rare and they are ON the problem straight away!! Super fast support online 24/7/236 with 9/10 times instant resolution offered! we are in our 2nd year but before we changed hosts every 3-4 months due to SEVERAL issues that got resolved in a couple of weeks! Furthermore these guys care about the earth hence their name!!!!
Would I recommend them? ABSOLUTELY and UNRESERVEDLY!
By the way, This is a GENUINE UNBIASED feedback as I have no interest to advertise their business, but I must admit I envy them I wish my business was as good as theirs:-))
