Levamo Review From Our Experts

Levamo is a managed WordPress hosting company built for online stores, membership sites, and communities. It promises high performance under heavy traffic, and I wanted to see if real test results back that promise up.

In July 2026, I tested Levamo the same way I tested 14 other WordPress hosting companies, with an identical WordPress site on a custom domain, the same tools, and the same checklist.

This Levamo review will show you the real numbers from my rigorous tests using industry-standard benchmarking tools.

Quick Answer – Is Levamo Worth It?

Yes, Levamo is worth it if you run an eCommerce or membership website. It scored 84 out of 100 on our WPBeginner Score, and it is our top managed WordPress hosting pick.

In our hosting speed test, Levamo showed its content with a 358 ms LCP (Largest Contentful Paint). That was the fastest LCP of all the hosts we tested.

The Starter plan costs $29 per month, billed $348 per year, and covers one site with 25,000 monthly visits. If you are launching your first website on a budget, then a beginner host like Hostinger or Bluehost will cost you much less. But if you’re running a serious business or eCommerce website, then Levamo is what you want for top-tier hosting.

About Levamo

Levamo, formerly known as Rapyd Cloud, set out to solve a specific problem. Most WordPress hosts build their platforms for blogs and landing pages, not for dynamic sites such as online stores, membership sites, and online communities.

Levamo Fast Managed Hosting

A team led by Wes Tatters, the platform’s lead architect, engineered Levamo for these demanding WordPress sites. The result is a fully managed platform built for speed and security.

The company rebranded from Rapyd Cloud to Levamo, and the platform and team stayed the same. I ran every test in this review on the current platform in July 2026.

Pros and Cons of Levamo

Pros

  • Fastest LCP of all the hosts I tested – 358 ms in our July 2026 speed test
  • Held a 16 ms P95 response under 50 concurrent users, with no failed requests
  • Enterprise Cloudflare CDN with full-page edge caching on every plan – a tool most hosts sell as a paid add-on
  • Automated daily offsite backups, one-click staging, and SFTP access
  • Free migration, a 3-day free trial, and a 14-day money-back guarantee
  • 100% uptime during our 30-day monitoring window

Cons

  • Starter plan limits are modest for $29 per month – one site, 25,000 monthly visits, and 10 GB SSD storage
  • Adding an extra site to the Starter plan costs $20 per site per month
  • Premium price if your site is a simple blog that a $3 shared plan can handle
  • No email hosting, so you need a third-party service like Google Workspace

How I Tested Levamo (Methodology)

I used the same testing protocol for every hosting company in our comparison. I set up an identical WordPress site with a default theme and test content, including images, on a custom domain.

Then I ran the same four tests – GTmetrix for speed and LCP, k6 for stress with 50 virtual users at the same time, a response-time test from 6 global regions, and 30 days of UptimeRobot monitoring.

Those four tests make up the performance side of the WPBeginner Score, which counts for 80% of the total. Each test carries a set weight, so no single lucky number can carry a host.

The other 20% of the score comes from value. For that part I look at what the plan really costs and gives you in return – the price, how many sites and how much storage you get, the plan limits, and the quality of support.

Levamo’s 84 out of 100 comes from top-tier marks on all four performance tests. The value part of the score holds it back, because the Starter plan gives you one site, 25,000 visits, and 10 GB of storage for $29 per month.

The full methodology, the exact weights, and every host’s raw numbers are in our best WordPress hosting guide.

Levamo Performance Test Results

Below you can find my full Levamo speed test results.

Speed Test – 358 ms LCP

Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures how quickly the main content of a page appears. It is the speed number that Google’s Core Web Vitals care about most.

My Levamo test site showed an LCP of 358 ms, and the full page loaded in 481 ms.

Levamo speed test showing a fully loaded time of 481 ms

That is the fastest LCP of all the hosts I tested in this round. For context, the median LCP of the hosts we tested was 659 ms.

Levamo hit that number on the same default setup as every other host, with no extra tuning. The speed comes from the platform itself, so it is the fastest WordPress hosting in our tests.

Server Response Time – 249 ms Global Average

Speed test tools load the whole page with images included, but that’s only one part of the performance. To see raw server speed, I also measured time to first byte (TTFB) from data centers in 6 regions around the world.

Levamo averaged 249 ms across the 6 regions.

Levamo global response time test results

Response times stayed strong in every region, and the Enterprise Cloudflare CDN deserves the credit here. It serves your content from edge locations close to your visitors, wherever they are. This is the type of result you want to see from a host if you have a global audience.

Stress Test – 16 ms P95 Under Load

To see how a host behaves under a traffic spike, I sent 50 virtual users to the test site with k6 by Grafana Labs and recorded the P95 response time.

Levamo held a 16 ms P95 response with no failed requests.

Levamo stress test result showing P95 response of 16 ms

A 16 ms response under load means the server barely noticed 50 people hitting it at once. This is the test that matters most for stores and membership sites, because their traffic is logged in and dynamic.

Uptime – 100% Over 30 Days

I monitored the Levamo test site with UptimeRobot, checking every 5 minutes. Over the 30-day window, it recorded 100% uptime with no incidents.

Uptime monitoring for Levamo

Uptime matters more for a store than for a blog, because every minute of downtime is lost revenue. Levamo gave me nothing to report here, which is exactly what you want.

How Levamo Compares to Other Hosts We Tested

The speed test numbers on their own do not give you the full picture. Here is how Levamo performed compared to other hosts from our comparison, all tested with the identical setup.

HostLCPGlobal responseUptimePricingWPBeginner Score
Levamo358 ms249 ms100%$29 flat84 / 100
Hostinger659 ms227 ms100%$2.69 – $10.9988 / 100
WordPress.com417 ms273 ms100%From $1.3888 / 100
SiteGround608 ms369 ms100%$2.99 – $17.9975 / 100

The WPBeginner Score weighs performance at 80% and value at 20%. Levamo posts the fastest LCP in the table, while the budget hosts score well on value because their entry prices are a fraction of Levamo’s.

Among the other managed hosts we tested, Pressable held a 7.74 ms P95 in our stress test, and Kinsta and WP Engine both cap monthly visits on entry plans that cost around $30 to $35 per month. Levamo’s mix of speed, included tools, and price is why it is our top managed hosting pick.

Levamo’s Infrastructure and Technology

Levamo’s speed in our tests comes from its infrastructure. Most hosts tune their platforms for static blogs, and Levamo engineered its stack for logged-in, dynamic sites.

Server – Levamo runs on LiteSpeed, which is a high-performance web server with page caching built in at the server level. It supports HTTP/3 and modern PHP 8.x, so visitors connect over the fastest protocol available. The servers are hosted on AWS cloud infrastructure.

CDN and edge network – an Enterprise Cloudflare CDN with SSL comes with every plan. Our 249 ms global response average shows what that edge network does in practice.

Three cache layers – LiteSpeed caches full pages at the server, and Cloudflare’s edge network serves static files from over 300 locations worldwide. The Business tier and higher add KeyDB and Redis object caching, so logged-in pages, carts, and dashboards skip repeated database lookups.

Database – the MariaDB layer is tuned for query-heavy WordPress work like product searches, member dashboards, course progress, and community feeds. That is exactly the traffic that makes ordinary shared hosting crawl.

Auto-scaling and isolation – PHP workers scale up automatically when traffic spikes and settle back down after. Every site also runs in its own container with dedicated CPU, RAM, and workers, so another customer’s surge never slows you down.

That isolation and scaling story matches what we measured. Our stress test held a 16 ms P95 response with 50 users hammering the site at once.

Security – every plan includes a web application firewall with DDoS and botnet protection, plus real-time malware scanning. Levamo offers virtual patching for plugin vulnerabilities as the Advanced SiteShield add-on for $4 per month.

Backups and developer tools – automated daily offsite backups run on every plan. You also get one-click staging, SFTP and File Manager access, and free migration.

Levamo Hosting Plans and Pricing

Levamo offers managed WordPress hosting plans that scale by resources. Plans start at $29 per month, billed $348 per year.

  • Starter – 1 website, 25,000 monthly visits, and 10 GB SSD storage for $29 per month, billed annually at $348. You can add extra sites for $20 per site per month.
  • Business – up to 3 websites, 75,000 monthly visits, and 25 GB SSD storage for $99 per month on annual billing. KeyDB and Redis object caching start at this tier.
  • Performance – up to 20 websites, 500,000 monthly visits, and 75 GB SSD storage for $299 per month on annual billing. This tier fits agencies and resource-hungry applications.

Every plan includes the Enterprise Cloudflare CDN, SSL, full-page edge caching, automated daily offsite backups, staging, SFTP access, malware and DDoS protection, free migration, and 24/7 expert chat. You can start with a 3-day free trial, and a 14-day money-back guarantee covers paid plans.

Most readers should start on the Starter plan and upgrade when traffic approaches the 25,000-visit mark. If you are building an online store, the included stack means you do not need to buy separate caching, CDN, or security tools.

Free and Paid Hosting Addons

Levamo’s plans include most essentials, but a few terms are worth knowing before you sign up. None of these are hidden, and most are standard among managed hosts.

  • Additional sites – the Starter plan covers one site, and each extra site costs $20 per month. This is because each website is isolated resources an security.
  • KeyDB and Redis object cache – available from the Business tier. Starter sites still get Cloudflare’s full-page edge caching.
  • Advanced SiteShield – $4 per month – Levamo’s virtual-patching add-on that shields known plugin vulnerabilities until you can update them. This is very important for WordPress security on a business website.
  • Hourly backups – $10 per month per site – every plan already includes automated daily offsite backups, and this add-on raises the frequency to hourly.
  • Free trial – runs for 3 days and requires a card, and it converts to a paid plan automatically. Set a reminder if you only want to test the platform.
  • Money-back guarantee – 14 days on paid plans, so you get a second exit after the trial ends.
  • Email hosting – not included, which is common among managed WordPress hosts. You need a third-party service like Google Workspace for your mailboxes.
  • Free migration – included on every plan, so moving an existing site over costs nothing.

Levamo for eCommerce and Membership Sites

This is where Levamo earns its price. Stores and membership sites serve logged-in visitors, and logged-in pages cannot come from a static cache.

Every cart, checkout, and member page hits the server directly. That is why a host that looks fast on a simple brochure page can crawl once real customers show up.

Levamo built its stack for exactly this traffic. Its edge caching and isolated containers keep database load down, and the 16 ms P95 result in my stress test shows the server staying calm with 50 users on it at once.

WordPress product companies trust it with their own sites too. Duplicator and Easy Digital Downloads both run on Levamo.

Levamo hosting dashboard (formerly Rapyd Cloud)

The dashboard keeps daily store tasks simple. Staging, backups, cache clearing, and performance monitoring are all one click away.

My confidence here goes beyond a lab test. WPBeginner’s partner brands are hosted on Levamo, so I have watched the platform handle real production traffic over time, not just a one-off test.

Levamo Customer Support

Levamo offers 24/7 expert chat support along with a knowledge base. An AI chatbot answers basic questions instantly, so you can skip the queue for simple issues.

Levamo support resources (formerly Rapyd Cloud)

When I needed a human, the live chat was not instant. But once I connected, the support rep resolved my issue right away.

There is no phone support, and the help leans more technical than hand-holding. That fits Levamo’s audience well, because store and membership site owners usually want precise answers over guided tours.

Since we also use Levamo’s Enterprise plan for our larger brands, we know that they offer dedicated private Slack support for Enterprise customers. It is my pick for Enterprise WordPress hosting for serious businesses and agencies who value solid tech stack with a knowledgeable team.

Who Should Use Levamo and Who Should Look Elsewhere

Choose Levamo if you run an online store, a membership site, or a community that earns money from logged-in visitors. It posted the fastest LCP of all the hosts we tested, and the managed stack removes the plugin juggling that dynamic sites usually need.

Its 100% uptime in our 30-day monitoring window backs the reliability side of that call.

Look elsewhere if you are launching your first website or running a simple blog on a budget. Hostinger or Bluehost will give you a strong start for a fraction of the price, and our full hosting comparison shows which host won each category on the same tests.

Final Verdict – Is Levamo the Right Choice for You?

Levamo is perfect for eCommerce and membership websites that need to stay fast under real traffic. It was the fastest host to show content in our July 2026 tests, and the infrastructure behind that number is enterprise-grade.

My verdict – if your site earns money from logged-in visitors, visit Levamo and start with the 3-day free trial. If you want to weigh every option first, our best WordPress hosting comparison shows all the hosts we tested side by side.

FAQs About Levamo

1. What are the disadvantages of Levamo?

Based on our tests and research, the main ones are price and plan limits. The Starter plan covers one site, 25,000 monthly visits, and 10 GB of storage for $29 per month.

Levamo also does not include email hosting, so you need a separate service for mailboxes. For a simple blog, a budget host gives you more room for less money. But for most businesses, you want to use a separate email platform like Google or Outlook for reliable email delivery.

2. Is Levamo the same as Rapyd Cloud?

Yes. Levamo is the new name for Rapyd Cloud, with the same platform and team behind it.

I ran every test in this review on the current platform in July 2026. So the numbers here reflect the host as it is today, not the old brand.

3. Is Levamo worth $29 per month?

Yes, if your site earns money from logged-in visitors. In our tests, Levamo delivered the fastest LCP (358 ms) and a 16 ms P95 response under load, and every plan includes an Enterprise Cloudflare CDN with full-page edge caching, which most hosts charge extra for.

If you run a simple blog, then the answer is no. A beginner host will serve you well for under $3 per month.

4. Can Levamo handle high traffic?

Yes. In our k6 stress test, Levamo held a 16 ms P95 response with 50 concurrent users and no failed requests.

Keep the plan limits in mind though, since Levamo rates the Starter plan for 25,000 visits per month. You can move to a higher tier as your traffic grows. They also have built-in auto-scaling to handle traffic spikes.

5. Is Levamo good for WooCommerce and membership sites?

Yes, Levamo built its platform for exactly these logged-in, dynamic sites, and it is our top managed hosting pick for eCommerce and membership websites. Logged-in pages skip static caching and hit the server directly, and Levamo’s edge caching and under-load performance handle that traffic well.

6. Does Levamo offer a free trial or money-back guarantee?

Yes, both. You get a 3-day free trial, which needs a card and converts to a paid plan automatically.

After that, a 14-day money-back guarantee covers paid plans. Every plan includes free migration as well.

7. How does Levamo compare with Kinsta and WP Engine?

All three are managed WordPress hosts in a similar price band. Kinsta and WP Engine entry plans cost around $30 to $35 per month with monthly visit caps, close to Levamo’s $29 Starter plan.

In our identical July 2026 tests, Levamo posted the fastest LCP of any host we measured. That result, plus the included caching and CDN stack, is why it is our top managed hosting pick.

8. Does Levamo include email hosting?

No, Levamo focuses on WordPress hosting only, which is common among managed hosts. You can use a third-party service like Google Workspace for your email and connect it to your domain.

9. Where are Levamo’s data centers located?

Levamo offers data centers in the US East (Northern Virginia), US West (Oregon), and Europe (Dublin, Ireland). You choose the region closest to your audience when you set up your site.

The Enterprise Cloudflare CDN then serves your content from edge locations worldwide. That is why our global response test averaged 249 ms across 6 regions.

Changelog

  • August 2026 – Rebuilt the review around our July 2026 test data (speed, stress, global response, and a 30-day uptime window). Added the WPBeginner Score, the comparison table against other hosts we tested, the infrastructure section, and updated the review for the Rapyd Cloud to Levamo rebrand.
