Welcome Drip and Sleeknote to the WPBeginner Family of Products

Today, I’m extremely excited to share that Drip and Sleeknote are joining the Awesome Motive network, and they’re now part of the WPBeginner family of products.

Drip is an email marketing and automation platform designed for small businesses, from content creators to online stores. More than 6,000 brands use Drip to turn first-time visitors into subscribers, buyers, and repeat customers.

On the other hand, Sleeknote is a conversion optimization tool that turns your website visitors into subscribers and customers with popups, slide-ins, sticky bars, and more.

Together, Sleeknote and Drip help you drive more conversions by reaching customers wherever they engage with your brand, whether that’s on your website, in their email inbox, or through SMS.

Quick Overview of Drip and Sleeknote

Drip gives small businesses and ecommerce store owners everything they need to grow sales with email, without the high costs.

It works with WooCommerce, Shopify, and BigCommerce. That means your store data flows straight into your email marketing tool, so you can personalize your messages based on what your customers actually do and buy.

We’ve been using Drip to power the email marketing on WPBeginner and our product brands for many years, so I’ve seen firsthand how much revenue a good email setup can bring in.

Sleeknote helps you get more email signups and sales from the traffic you already have. You can control exactly who sees each campaign and when.

For example, you can target visitors based on the pages they view, where they came from, whether they’re new or returning, and what’s in their cart, so every message feels relevant instead of random.

Sleeknote is free for all users on Drip as part of the Drip forms.

Let’s take a detailed look.

Powerful Email Automation to Generate More Revenue

Drip comes with a drag-and-drop visual workflow builder. You can use it to create anything from a single automated email to a complex multi-step campaign.

You don’t have to start from scratch, either. You can choose from Drip’s extensive ready-made workflow templates and install them on your account with a single click.

Drip workflow template

You can easily customize each workflow by adding decisions, delays, and goals to guide subscribers along the right path. You can even split-test different paths to see which ones generate more revenue.

With workflows, you can:

  • Turn new subscribers into first-time buyers with a welcome series that introduces your brand and your best products.
  • Win back sales you would have lost by reminding shoppers about the items they left in their cart.
  • Bring window shoppers back with a friendly reminder about products they viewed but didn’t buy.
  • Get more repeat orders by thanking customers after a purchase and suggesting what to buy next.
  • Keep customers coming back on their own by letting them know when a product is back in stock, when it’s time to reorder, or when it’s their birthday.

Manage Your Email Marketing With AI

Drip comes with a free MCP connector on every plan. It lets you connect AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT directly to your Drip account.

Simply put, you can ask your AI which campaign made the most money last month or have it draft and schedule your next campaign.

Reach Customers Instantly With Drip SMS

Some messages work better as a text than an email, like a flash sale that ends tonight or a cart a shopper left a few minutes ago.

Drip now has built-in SMS marketing for stores in the United States (other countries coming soon). You can run your email and text campaigns from the same account, using the same customer data and segments.

You can send one-off text campaigns to any segment, or add SMS steps to your workflows. For example, your abandoned cart workflow can send a reminder email first, then follow up with a text if the shopper still hasn’t checked out.

Drip SMS builder

The SMS builder counts your characters as you type, lets you personalize each message, and adds the required opt-out language for you. You can also add images from your brand library to send picture messages (MMS).

To grow your SMS list, you can add a carrier-compliant SMS consent field to your Drip popups and embedded forms, or import the phone numbers you already have.

Drip also gives you a dedicated SMS Metrics report. It shows deliveries, engagement, and the revenue your texts bring in, so you can compare them side by side with your emails.

Smart Segmentation Based on Real Shopping Behavior

Drip lets you create dynamic segments based on what customers buy, how often they order, how much they spend, and what they browse on your online store. You can also segment by tags, custom fields, quiz answers, and even product reviews.

Drip ecommerce segmentation

This lets you send more relevant emails at the right time, whether it’s a thank-you message after a customer’s third order or a special discount to win back someone who hasn’t purchased in a while.

All you have to do is set up a workflow once, and Drip will automatically send the right emails to your customer segment when they meet the conditions.

Beautiful Emails With Your Products Built In

Drip’s drag-and-drop email builder comes with 50+ templates and lets you save your brand colors and fonts as Brand Styles.

The best part is that you can pull your store’s products directly into your emails. The dynamic Top Sellers block automatically shows your best-selling products and even hides the items a customer has already bought.

You can also A/B test up to 4 subject lines or content variations. Drip then sends the winning version to the rest of your list.

Popups and Forms to Grow Your Email List

Drip also helps you grow your email list with onsite popups, slide-ins, sticky bars, and free shipping bars. These onsite campaigns are powered by Sleeknote technology, and you get them with your Drip plan at no extra cost.

Drip popup builder

You can use exit-intent popups, countdown timers, spin-to-win wheels, and quizzes to capture more subscribers. New subscribers go straight into your welcome workflows, so you can start selling to them right away.

If you’re not using Drip, you can still run the same kind of campaigns with Sleeknote. It is available on its own and works with Klaviyo, Mailchimp, HubSpot, and other popular email marketing services.

Alternatively, you can use OptinMonster to create popups, forms, and onsite campaigns on any WordPress site.

See Exactly How Much Revenue Your Emails Make

Drip connects your store’s sales back to the emails behind them. When a customer clicks an email and buys within a set window (5 days by default), Drip credits that revenue to the email. That way, you can see which ones are paying for themselves.

You can then filter your reports by date range, workflow, or a single email. For example, you can open your abandoned cart workflow and see how many orders and how much revenue it brought in over the last 90 days.

Drip email revenue analytics

Drip also breaks down your revenue by strategy. That way, you can compare your cart abandonment emails, flash sales, birthday emails, and loyalty campaigns side by side, and double down on what’s working.

Built with Online Stores in Mind

Drip connects natively with WooCommerce, Shopify, BigCommerce, Stripe, and more, so your customers, orders, and products sync into Drip automatically.

If you run a WooCommerce store, the free Drip plugin syncs your customers, products, website sessions, and even your past orders into Drip. That means your segments and workflows can use your full order history from day one.

Connecting WooCommerce to Drip

The plugin also adds a “Subscribe to marketing email” checkbox to your checkout page, so you can grow your list with every order. It works with both the classic and block-based WooCommerce checkout.

Drip isn’t just for traditional online stores, either. If you sell memberships with MemberPress, then their official Drip addon automatically tags members when they join and when their membership lapses.

You can use those tags to send onboarding emails to new members and win-back offers to the ones who leave.

Selling digital products with Easy Digital Downloads or running another WordPress plugin? Drip’s Shopper Activity API lets you send orders, carts, and products from almost any platform, so you can use the same purchase-based segments and workflows as a regular online store.

White-Glove Migration When You Switch

Moving to a new email marketing platform can be tedious. You have your contacts, segments, and automations, and you don’t want to lose any of them or hurt your deliverability.

That’s why Drip offers free white-glove migration for lists of over 17,500 people. The Drip team will move your contacts, tags, custom fields, and segments for you, along with your key workflows, email templates, and onsite campaigns.

After that, you get four 1-on-1 onboarding sessions on segmentation, workflows, email campaigns, and onsite campaigns, plus a 90-day business review to make sure everything is paying off.

If you have a smaller list, you still get free onboarding help from the Drip team over live chat and email.

You can try Drip free for 14 days, and you don’t need a credit card to get started.

Background Story – Why Drip?

After nearly two decades of running my online business, one lesson I’ve learned is that having a direct way to reach your website visitors after they leave is the most important asset your business has (i.e your email list and SMS list).

This matters more today than ever. Social platforms keep cutting the reach of your posts, AI answers mean fewer clicks from search, and every new visitor costs more to win. The businesses that grow from here will be the ones that turn the customers they already have into repeat buyers.

With powerful marketing automation, Drip helps businesses of all sizes have a reliable way to connect with users, bring customers back, recover abandoned carts, and drive repeat purchases.

Drip has been a big part of how we do this at my various companies in the Awesome Motive network. I’ve followed Drip since Rob Walling first started it, and we’ve been customers for many, many years, using it on WPBeginner and across our product brands. I’ve also been one of Drip’s top affiliates because I genuinely believe in the product, and I know that many of our WPBeginner users are very happy Drip customers.

Over the years, I’ve watched Drip grow from a small startup into one of the most popular email marketing platforms. So when the conversations about bringing Drip and Sleeknote into the WPBeginner family started, it didn’t take long for me to say yes.

We already use Drip to run our own email marketing, so we know firsthand what it does well, and we have a clear vision for where it can go next.

That’s why I’m so excited to welcome Drip to the WPBeginner family.

What’s Coming Next?

AI is making it possible for a small business to do what only big marketing teams could do before. We’re going to make Drip the best email marketing platform for the AI era, and it’s already off to a great start. You can run your Drip account straight from AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude today.

I’m looking forward to bringing some of the exciting things we’ve built at Awesome Motive into Drip and making them accessible to small businesses worldwide, so we can continue living up to our mission of helping small businesses grow and compete with the big guys.

Our in-house email marketing team will be working closely with the Drip team on an exciting roadmap. That includes deeper WordPress and WooCommerce integration, more AI-powered features, and tighter connections with the tools you already use, like WPForms and OptinMonster.

Like the rest of WPBeginner family of brands, Drip will continue to operate as an independent team, and customers will see no change in service or pricing. Mogens Møller (co-founder of Sleeknote and current CEO of Drip) will continue to lead Drip and Sleeknote. What Drip gains is the backing and experience of our various teams at Awesome Motive, whose products are used on more than 30 million websites.

If you have suggestions on features you’d like to see in Drip, then please let us know by sending us a message.

As always, I want to thank you for your continued support of WPBeginner.

Every big step we take at WPBeginner starts with you, our readers. You’ve trusted our tutorials, tried our products, and told us what to build next.

None of this would be possible without YOU, and I’m truly grateful for your support over the years.

And I look forward to continuing serving you, and the larger WordPress / web ecosystem for years to come.

Yours Truly,

Syed Balkhi
