This is a perfect post for my sister she wants to start a food blog Having so many great recipe plugin options laid out is super helpful. and customizable recipe layouts, Recipe Card Blocks or WP Tasty Recipes seem like excellent choices. If advanced features like SEO optimization are important, then WP Delicious sounds like a powerful contender. Thanks WPBeginner for this comprehensive guide!

    • Jiří Vaněk says

If your sister is going to have a blog specifically about cooking, I recommend investing in the AIO SEO plugin, mentioned here in the PRO version, in addition to recipe-specific plugins. It’s not the cheapest, but it does an absolutely excellent job in the field of SEO. I had the opportunity to compare my recipes without markup schemas (when I was using the free version, which doesn’t have them) and with them. In terms of search positions, the markup schemas helped me achieve perfect positions. If you also use the “how-to” markup schema for your recipes, where you describe the steps of the recipe, you will see that your blog will definitely be more visible over time among others. I wish you the best of luck with your food blog.

My wife plans to open a recipe blog, and we are looking for an all-in-one tool for that. This blog should earn some money with ads, and we are looking for free plugins. From this list, Recipe Card Blocks looks wonderful. I was afraid all good things would be reserved for the paid plan, but from what I see, the free version really has all that is important.
    Thanks for this list!
