Syed Balkhi. Oggi sono orgoglioso di annunciare il lancio del Glossario di WPBeginner, un luogo centrale che elenca e spiega la terminologia più comunemente usata nei tutorial di WordPress e nelle sessioni del WordCamp.
Se siete rimasti perplessi di fronte a strani termini o abbreviazioni di WordPress, questo è il posto giusto per iniziare. Abbiamo fatto del nostro meglio per spiegare il gergo di WordPress in inglese semplice per i principianti di WordPress.
Da dove nasce l’idea?
Mentre parlavo al workshop per principianti del WordCamp Columbus 2012, uno dei partecipanti ha alzato la mano e mi ha fatto questa domanda:
“Cos’è questa cosa dei widget di cui parli? Sarebbe davvero bello se ci fosse un dizionario che mi permettesse di consultare il gergo di WordPress”.
Dopo la mia sessione, mi sono seduto con lei e ho risposto a molte delle sue domande. Una volta tornato dall’evento, mi sono completamente dimenticato dell’idea fino all’inizio di quest’anno.
Durante l’organizzazione del WordCamp Miami, diversi utenti sono venuti da me e mi hanno fatto domande come: cos’è uno shortcode, cos’è un post type, ecc.
Quella sera mi sono messo giù e ho creato un piano d’azione per un glossario di WordPress che spiegasse i termini di WordPress in inglese semplice.
Dopo 6 mesi intensi in cui abbiamo costruito una scuola, lanciato la barra sociale fluttuante, ridisegnato List25, lanciato SteadyStrength, lanciato OptinMonster, sono entusiasta di annunciare che il glossario di WPBeginner è finalmente pronto.
Attualmente il glossario ha poco più di 100 termini e stiamo elaborando in corso d’opera per aggiungerne altri.
NON SI TRADUCE il nostro Glossario di WordPress e fateci sapere quali termini vorreste che aggiungessimo.
