WordPress World Map – Tag Yourself Now

This interesting idea was brought to our attention during WordCamp NYC. WP World Map created by Oliver Schlobe allows you to geo tag yourself on a World Map. Using this map, you can get connected with local WordPress users in your area. This is a great tool for both developers and WordPress users.

Developers can now advertise themselves by tagging themselves in the map. Users can now find WordPress developers that are in their own area. This is also a great tool because it shows all the recent WordCamps that are coming up, so if one event is coming up in your area, you will not miss it. Now if your area does not have a WordCamp or any other meetup group, this will be an excellent way to start by contacting the users that live in your local area.

This map is a giant step toward building a better connection around WordPress community. WordPress is growing really fast, and you might not know that someone who lives few blocks away from you is using WordPress and is also looking for a WordPress buddy in the area.
