Minblr – Yet Another Tumblr-like WordPress Theme

Our friends over at Themify has notified us that they have launched yet another Tumblr-like theme called Minblr. This is their second tumblr-like theme (first one we have already covered, Wumblr). They define Minblr as a minimal Tumblr-like theme for WordPress which comes with a liquid and responsive web design which basically means that the layout flows nicely across any display resolution, and your content is displayed nicely to all major browsers including the modern mobile devices. Along with that this theme comes with a 3 layout options (default with sidebar, 2-column layout, and full width no sidebar), 10 beautiful colorful skins, footer widgets, easy video and audio embedding and more.

Here is a look at Minblr in details with screenshots:

Responsive Design

Minblr - Responsive Design

Ad you can see, this design automatically adjusts to any resolution in the browser, iPad, iPhones, Android, Blackberry, etc. This is great because this saves you money on purchasing a Mobile Plugin like WP Touch Pro.

10 Color Skins

Minblr - Color Schemes

This theme comes with 10 different color skins, so you can run 10 different sites that have it’s own unique color scheme by using this one theme. We always love having more than one color option for a theme because it empowers the user.

Post Formats and Backward Compatability

Minblr - Post Formats and More

As expected with the new release of WordPress 3.1, Minblr comes pre-enabled with Post Format feature, but it also has backward compatibility for users with WordPress 3.0.5 and prior.

Other Features

  • You get 4 footer widget columns ready which you can use if you please.
  • You get 3 different page layouts (default with sidebar, 2-column layout, and fullwidth no sidebar).
  • You have custom menu builder for both header and footer
  • You get Custom homepage welcome message
  • You also get a default Photo Gallery styled and much more

Minblr costs only $39 to purchase, but if you hurry and use the coupon “minblr“, then you get a whipping 40% discount on this theme. The coupon is good until March 11th, 2011.

If I could figure out the post format thing I wouldn’t NEED to get this :P It’s a nice theme though but I wouldn’t get it.

Pretty nice theme. I really like it! Especially the added custom features for personalizing this theme and really making it your own. Thanks!

Great theme, but why provide backward functionality for post types? everyone should be on latest version of WP if they aren’t already!

A lot of people don’t upgrade right away. Themify probably have a good reason for doing so.
