Born – A Beautiful WordPress Theme for Churches

One of our friends, Justin Scheetz, has just notified us of a new WordPress theme he came out with called Born Theme for WordPress. It was made to be used by churches so we tried it out and found it to be extremely sleek and functional. Born is coded in HTML5 and CSS3, it has several skins, and includes custom post types. Here are some of the cooler features in detail with screenshots:

Change the Color, Font, and Background Image in Seconds

Born skins

You can change the color, font, and background images in a matter of seconds as there are several built in skins that can be activated with a click of your mouse. Not only this but it comes with several custom widgets and an admin panel that makes customization of the theme easy and precise.

Custom Post Types and Fancy Jquery Slider

There are several built in custom post types so that you can include events, video, audio, and galleries in your theme. You can also use these to build out your homepage slider by adding media to the slides. If you need some help on using custom post types you can check out our article on how to use custom post types in WordPress 3.0.

Gallery for your Media

The theme includes a gallery for all of you media files and the PSD is layered so make some more detailed customizations. You can also add a lightbox effect to your gallery if want or modify the well documented code yourself.

Other Features

  • Fully working AJAX Contact Form with spam protection
  • Complete HTML template included
  • Ready for WordPress 3.3!

Something different: an atheist WordPress theme. Would be weird, and unnecessary.
