After that, we used Pingdom’s website speed test tool to run our tests. These were the results we got:

This is incredible, but this website had almost no traffic, so the Pingdom test alone is insufficient.

    Wish we would have switched to SiteGround years ago. They transferred our entire site and database over for us. So far, everything is running great. Our Magento site is much faster than it was on our previous host. And secure! HostGator couldn’t get their act together on making their shared servers fully PCI & TLSv1.2 compliant for PayPal.     Big outage today on Singapore servers which must have been stressful for all involved.

    id like to see an improvement around crisis management and most of all a redundancy package added. Especially for Grow Geek and above hosting packages. A mirroring service could of saved everyone.

    I created some websites using first Jimdo and then Joomla, and for Joomla I used the Siteground installation.
    After a year of experience with more sophisticated websites than Jimdo (like Joomla), I always strongly DISCOURAGE using these more sophisticated installation!!!
    If I could not count on a 24H always immediately available assistance like that one from Siteground, I would have already deleted “once and for all” that “Joomla” thing, and switched back to something user-friendly like Jimdo, Weebly and so on.

    Be Warned! There is an automatic renewal that happens a month before the expiry of your contract with them. No warnings, just suddenly your cc is charged with the renewal before you expect it with an email to tell you that it was paid and there are no refunds.

    I’ve just signed up to SiteGround UK. Sign-up was simple, account dashboard is nice, the features (free SSL and CDN) are great, and the first year discount is good too.
    My only disappointment was that they use an old version of CPanel which only allows single file uploads through File Manager. I know using FTP and uploading all files in a zip is possible, but newer versions of CPanel allow drag and drop of multiple files in File Manager. FTP is a bit old school these days! However, SiteGround have advised they will be updating CPanel this year. I hope so as my current hosting provider (NameCheap) updated their CPanel some months ago.

    I just signed up for SiteGround based on Write Better, Blog Better Writing Support for Bloggers’ Facebook group. It compared the top 3 or 4 hosting sites and heard that SiteGround is officially supported by WordPress and also has really good customer service and support.     After moving to Siteground, the site speed and customer service made realize that my money paid to Godaddy all these years was a total waste. Keep up the good work, Siteground!

    I’m seldom inclined to write reviews but Siteground’s support is incredible and deserves the review time. For me, this is key to any decent hosting. No matter my question, via ticket or chat, the problem is solved in under a few minutes every time. Service levels are seriously impressive

    I wasn’t able to fully use my siteground account but their customer support, even with non techie matters like billing, is really good. Support was real nice and helped me every step of the way. If I decide to come back to blogging ill definitely get SiteGround again. :)
