We created a WordPress-powered test site on SiteGround and filled it with dummy content for theme development with images.

After that, we used Pingdom’s website speed test tool to run our tests. These were the results we got:

This is incredible, but this website had almost no traffic, so the Pingdom test alone is insufficient.

To test how SiteGround servers would respond to increased traffic, we used a stress testing tool called K6 by Grafana Labs.

This tool gradually sends up to 50 users to see how the server would respond to increased traffic from multiple connections.

    Some technical difficulties and misunderstandings happened as normal with any new installation with multiple people involved. Call tech support needs to polish their customer relations and communication skills. Chat tech support is very good,. Pre/sales gets things done. The pre/sales people are extremely well-trained, they have a very tough job, and they make the customer feel valued and welcome. Even if you are an existing customer, they will gladly help you. For all these reasons, I give siteground a five star review. Hopefully they will provide their call tech folks some additional training to improve that level of service. I would recommend SiteGround to anyone looking for a hosting service with all the bells and whistles at a reasonable cost. They are not the cheapest service, but you get what you pay for.

    I am satisfied with SiteGround 99% of the time. The support is quick and excellent. I barely wait more han a few seconds before having someone on the chat and they have always resolved my issues.

    But for the 1%… how to say that. There are admin people who think they can do changes without any communication (DNS changes, mail settings). Those guys should be stopped. A process should be setup in order that we CLIENTS, have a chance to cope IN ADVANCE with the changes.

    I cannot write a review about this host simply because, thanks to those enthusiastic reviews of yours I decided to transfer my domain to Siteground and there started the problems. I have followed the instructions step by step, bought my hosting plan, done the transfer procedure online with the help of the customer support. Everything was looking ok, I had my “Domain transfer completed” email, BUT when I started to do my website operation I couldn’t access to my account. So I asked to the customer support what was going on and they said that didn’t authorize my transfer. No further explanations!!! I still have all the email exchange and is unbelievable that I was not even warned that my account was going to be closed with no reasons. Now I have to wait 60 days for re-transfer my domain to another host. So 60 days of down website thanks to this bunch.

      With regard to the access to the domain name, our team has assisted you with providing a EPP key so you can transfer it away from us and continue to use it with another provider. Unfortunately, based on the ICANN rules the domain is currently locked for 60 days as per their policy after transfers. Our domain team has sent you an email with a reset password link for a login directly with the domain registrar, TuCows, so you can manage the domain from there.
